For a film that's devoid of any sound, #AQuietPlaceDayOne communicates what most films fail to do in two hours. The film does justice to the much-familiar story and the thrilling highs but fails to give a comprehensive view of the events that transpired and that are yet to come. Here's my detailed review:

Raising money and marketing your film are the hardest steps in filmmaking. Having a plan and way to execute that plan is what investors want to see. This is why having well rounded producer is so important. If you have a film you want to make, hire a good producer.
Just got word today that The Luring is featured in another article, this time in HNN, which is very well known in the horror world. I set out to make a twisted film, and it's proving to be popular with a wider audience than anticipated. Pathological thrillers hit different. As an adult I don't get scared anymore when I watch a film but this particular genre makes me feel like a kid again. Logline: A man tries to recover a lost memory by returning to his family’s Vermont vacation home where an unspeakable act took place. Tagline: Escaping a nightmare only means you’re still in one. https://lnkd.in/ehJ3NBhe

Freelance Film Writer + Critic | Script Writer | Script Reader + Editor | Coverage + Sensitivity Reads
ARGYLLE is preposterous and messy, with more plot twists and jackknifes than the Fast & Furious franchise, but the good cheer of Bryce Dallas Howard and Sam Rockwell, over-the-top action, and zany choreography make this loopy spy caper fun enough if you let the lunacy roll. Media & Entertainment Pro (SkyShowtime - RTL - Canal+), Writer and Content Advocate. X: Robin Logjes | The Screen Addict
The Screen Addict Recommends – Gladbeck: Das Geiseldrama (2022) If you want to see a documentary that trumps every single fictionalized Crime-Thriller out there, give the Netflix title Gladbeck: Das Geiseldrama a go. This utterly captivating doc was put together using only actual footage from the terrifying event that had the entire country of Germany glued to the screen some 35 years ago. While watching it, I couldn’t help but wonder if the Gladbeck hostage takers perhaps had just seen Al Pacino’s Dog Day Afternoon (1975) before they committed their crime. The similarities are just too striking. As is often the case with these stories though – truth is stranger (and more gruesome) than fiction. If any of the many incredible twists and turns of the Gladbeck hostage situation would happen in an actual movie, we would never accept it and probably walk out of the cinema booing while hurtling rotten tomatoes at the screen. The most jarring element of G:DG is its unfiltered documentation of the complete and utter helplessness of the German police at the time. Nothing at all like the cool and in control cops of the movies! Apparently the local police hadn’t the slightest clue of how to deal with hostage takers, and made one ludicrous decision after another – with disastrous consequences. Seek it out & get your fix. #thescreenaddict #film #movies #contentrecommendation #celebrateart #nobodyknowsanything

One of the keys to creating drama is to put characters under pressure. Here is a classic example. https://lnkd.in/eDbGe-fg #scriptchat
