On average, 9,500 students engaged in 10 hours of high-dosage tutoring with Tutored by Teachers at Indianapolis Public Schools and saw gains in ELA and Math. Throughout the engagement, tutored students scored 14 points higher in Math and 12 points higher in ELA on the ILEARN state assessment. These remarkable figures, presented by TbT to the Indianapolis Public Schools School Board, generated a lot of enthusiasm among the School Board members. Watch just one of the reactions from Board member, Will Pritchard - Indianapolis Public Schools Board Commissioner for District 1, below. I'm really struggling to understand how the CEO is promoting the company, Varsity Tutors, when the website is in dire need of bug fixes. I've been trying to get support to pay attention and roll back the latest update since May. They broke the opportunities mechanic and your students are not able to get the help they need. Please fix this! I've messaged you on LinkedIn, commented on posts, emailed customer support over and over again, and nothing is changing. Customer support emails just get automated responses of my message sent back to me. There are multiple pain points within this workflow. I hope none of this comes across disrespectfully, I greatly appreciate the business I get from VT and I enjoy the platform! The in-session tutoring white board features are really great! Please focus on your current customers/clients and fix the experience before trying to grow the company before you're ready. That goes for any business! Hire me to fix your website! Your programmers are.... not fixing it.
Big thanks to the TODAY Show's Vicky Nguyen for highlighting Varsity Tutors, a Nerdy Company this morning in her segment on #backtoschool resources for families. Our platform enables learners to receive live, one-to-one tutoring to help them get unstuck in everything from math to coding and stay ahead, developing strong study habits and accelerating the rate at which they can learn and master new skills and content. Expert tutors work with struggling readers as young as kindergarten and rising juniors and seniors preparing for the ACT/SAT and beyond. We also support college, professional, and graduate level learners as well. We’re now partnering with nearly 600 school districts like Polk County (Polk County School Board), Loudoun County Public Schools, and Ferguson-Florissant School District. https://lnkd.in/gpcaGaVr Anthony Salcito Rian Schilligo Dan Lee Christopher Swenson Jason H. Reading Partners DC employs a one-on-one tutoring model to empower young readers, aiming to foster success in reading and life. Through the engagement of community volunteers, each student receives individualized, personal attention. A recent evaluation by DC Public Schools (DCPS) revealed that students participating with Reading Partners scored 30 percent higher on their DIBELS (Dynamic Indicators of Basic Early Literacy Skills) assessments than peers who did not participate. As ESSER funding ends, we must sustain high-impact tutoring (HIT). Through HIT, students furthest from opportunity are given resources to excel in school. Research shows that HIT is 20 times more effective in math and 15 times more effective in reading than the standard tutoring models. Students who receive HIT are most likely to attend school more often and have higher math scores than their non-tutored counterparts. #HighlightingHIT #HITinAction #DCHIT #DCHITInitiative

Let’s have this conversation. Zero student proficiency in Illinois schools. Proof that kids are being #abused when they should be being taught! Why is this important? Because these kids are coming into the workforce, and not being able to reason (math) and read is a #SafetyIssue at best! How many #CorporateTrainers have time to teach basic math, reading, and language skills to be proficient to hire? What is the result, these kids have been #ABUSED, they have had their futures #Stolen, and their entire life is dramatically changed for he worse! Will the #SchoolBoards be held accountable? 100% Unacceptable! https://lnkd.in/gxBneSZm
