Congratulations to our BMX Team Riders Perris Benegas, Kevin Peraza, and Kilian Roth for being awarded top honors at the recent 28th annual NORA Cup Awards.
On the heels of a successful past few months, Perris was named “Women’s Rider of the Year” for leading the way in BMX and shattering the glass ceiling for the next generation of riders. With three X Games medals under his belt this year - two gold and one silver - Kevin was honored with “Transition Rider of the Year.” European Team Rider Kilian received “Street Rider of the Year,” a top accolade and recognition from his peers for a solid run of content and next-level tricks.
As a brand committed to always pushing progression, we couldn’t be more proud of what these athletes have accomplished as they continue to elevate their sport and culture to the world.
Congratulations to Perris, Kevin, and Kilian! 🎉 Your achievements are truly inspiring and showcase the incredible talent in the BMX community. At Sustainable Weave, we celebrate those who push boundaries and elevate their sports. Keep leading the way and inspiring the next generation!
We’ve got a packed Easter weekend of Piing loaded up in our basket and we’re ready to play, with an international schedule of gaming lined up.
On Saturday March 30, the half-time crowds at the Charlotte FC MLS league tie against Cincinnati will be putting the boot in with Pen-Kick. It’s the third home game of the season and our third appearance in association with team sponsors Ally.
We’re joining Formula E as the racing rocks up in Tokyo for round six of the 2024 calendar. Fanzone players will again be driving our bespoke electric blue E-Prix racing cars on the big screens as the live action takes place on the track.
In football, Manchester City will be screening Quiiz at their OSC 75 'Official Supporters Club' hospitality event, while fans at Burnley FC will get to play our Vertu Footy Race and Footy Rebound games before the team heads to the pitch against Wolves on April 2.
If you’re in Printworks in Manchester, check out the Pumpyard screens, where we’ll be running Piing games every hour on the hour. There will also be a family gaming event on April 4 between noon and 4pm where we’ll be dialling up the fun factor to max for all ages.
It promises to be a cracking weekend!

I listened to this amazing conversation about sports fandom! Here are some of my key takeaways:
1. Barriers to entry for emerging sports: Adult sports fandom is driven by youth participation, so for sports like sailing and lacrosse, which have limited accessibility, how can the leagues spark that fandom in new fans?
2. Find the gaps: While F1’s Drive to Survive success has created a new landscape for sports awareness and brand growth, not every sport has that same opportunity yet so emerging sports must find their own opportunities.
3. Sports is entertainment: The lifestyle and events that surround the game are what continuously bring in both casual and avid fans - both of which are key to growing the longevity of a brand.
"The success is great, but definitely has a darker side."

This month we look at the similarities between team sports and business.
In all team sports, each team member has a very specific and vital role to play. The team has an overall goal to which everyone is committed. Within that there are also personal goals but those cannot undermine the team goal if the team is to be successful.

You don’t have to like the Canucks to like this announcement!
Clio - Cloud-Based Legal Technology just became the first legal tech company to sponsor a jersey patch in the National Hockey League (NHL), partnering with the Vancouver Canucks (Canucks Sports & Entertainment (CSE). And this is more than just a branding win—it’s proof that when Canadian tech succeeds, it fuels more than just business. It supports our culture, reinforces our national identity, and yes, even props up our national pastime!
Remember when Huawei sponsored Hockey Night in Canada, trying to win our hearts by backing this national institution? Huawei was ultimately banned from Canada. Why? Because, as a company with strong ties to the Chinese government, its technology and influence were determined to be against our national security interests.
In contrast, Clio’s success positively illuminates that if we want Canada to lead globally, it’s time to bet on our innovators. Companies like Clio don’t just create jobs—they build prosperity. And that prosperity funds what makes Canada, Canada: healthcare, education, quality of life—and, yes, even hockey!
Our economic success isn’t just about balance sheets. It reflects our values and priorities as a nation.
This partnership underscores how homegrown businesses don’t just elevate their industries—they help power the things that unite us. Seeing Clio’s logo on the Canucks’ jerseys is a reminder to support our homegrown talent because when Canadian companies succeed, they bring the entire country along for the win.
Congrats to Jack Newton and the entire team at Clio!
It’s been a year of milestone moments for Clio, and this one feels like a true power play.
Clio is officially the first legal tech company to sponsor a jersey patch for a team in the NHL.
We’re incredibly excited to be partnering with the Vancouver Canucks and Canucks Sports & Entertainment (CSE)—an organization that also values teamwork and innovation, both on and off the ice.
It was great to have Jim Rutherford, Ed McLaughlin, Sean Clifford, Teddy Blueger, and others from the CSE team join us for this exciting announcement during our monthly town hall.
Pumped to see the #Canucks sporting the Clio logo on the road!
The kids playing sports could describe the excitement, the sense of pride, or the pure happiness that comes from seeing them enjoy themselves and learn valuable lessons through sportsmanship and teamwork. It's a beautiful thing to witness their growth and development through play. #footballteam#Decathloncambodia#Decathlonfoundation#spiritofsport
