Vans. A truly timeless brand. 🖤 Timeless brands focus on the lifestyle they represent, not the features they sell. This video is a perfect example of that. For many, Vans evoke thoughts of Dogtown-era California cool and, in blink182’s words, summer and the Warped Tour. But it’s more than nostalgia. Vans is a brand synonymous with optimism, community, and progression. It’s a celebration of skateboarding, art, and music. A distinct feeling only Vans can create. By staying true to those values, Vans has remained a constant in people’s lives, even as the world changes and trends come and go. I got my first pair of Vans at age 12 (my sole form of self-expression at my uniform school) and the brand has been a part of my life ever since. Brand affinity that lasts that long is rare. And it’s not because they’re great shoes (which they are), but because of what they represent and how they make me feel. Hey LinkedIn family, Just stumbled upon one of the most epic commercial battles in advertising history – the classic face-off between Mercedes-Benz and Jaguar. There's something about these old-school clashes where car brands would take witty jabs at each other, all in the name of good fun and brilliant marketing!🤩 Mercedes, with their clever engineering, showcased a chicken maintaining its head stable while its body moves, illustrating their car's stability. I have had the unique opportunity to work in Asia, US and now in Europe. And there is one trend that I have noticed around the world -- our increasing consumption of content, especially video content. Whether on a train or waiting for a doctor's appointment, everyone is watching something on their mobile devices. This changes a lot for communications experts especially in a world where the written word is increasingly in 280 characters, behind paywalls or have sign-in requirements -- create more open, accessible video content. Customers and users want to see videos of product features and benefits -- and we need to meet them where they are. Communicators in many organizations don't have the opportunity to do a cohesive content strategy because of the silos within the organizations (influencer, creator marketing, PR etc.)-- but at #GM we do things differently. Recently, the General Motors Europe team gave content creators across Europe a chance to drive the Cadillac #LYRIQ #EV in #Cannes -- and we all had some fun with it. There were some great videos highlighting what the creators loved best in the LYRIQ. Can't post every video but here's one that gives you a peek!
