Description: Claire Griswold was born on October 30, 1936 in Honolulu, Hawaii, USA as Claire Bradley Griswold. Alfred Hitchcock considered her and Tippi Hedren for the lead role in Marnie (1964), since both of them were under personal contract to him. Even though, she and Hedren were in competition for the same role, there was no tension between them, since they were friends from their early modeling days in New York. However, after watching her screen test, he decided that she wasn't the right person and chose Hedren.
