June 23, 2015: Tom Holland is the new Marvel's Peter Parker.
“For Spidey himself, we saw many terrific young actors, but Tom’s screen tests were special. All in all, we are off to a roaring start.
Sony, Marvel, Kevin (Feige, president of Marvel)and I all knew that for Peter Parker, we had to find a vibrant, talented young actor capable of embodying one of the most well-known characters in the world.
With Tom, we’ve found the perfect actor to bring Spider-Man’s story into the Marvel Cinematic Universe." -- Amy Pascal (Sony Executive)

Spider-man
Asa Butterfield, Nat Wolff, Liam James, Timothée Chalamet and Tom Holland were all in the shortlist of the much anticipated casting of Peter Parker. I have to confess that I had my heart with Asa, but well...
Orphaned as a baby when his parents were killed overseas in a plane crash as U.S. government spies, only child Peter Parker was raised by his elderly Uncle Ben and Aunt May. Academically gifted, Peter displayed an uncanny affinity for science that was nothing short of genius. Socially, however, he was painfully shy and the target of much cruelty by his peers at Midtown High School. Attending a public science exhibit when Peter was 15-years old, he was bitten on the hand by a radioactive spider accidentally irradiated by a particle beam, empowering Peter with the arachnid's proportional strength and agility, and the ability to cling to almost any surface.
Most incredibly, he had gained a sixth sense that provided him with early warning of impending danger.
According to Kevin Feige this is not an origins movie, and we won't see the death of Uncle Ben, Peter is back in high school, wears the classic Spider-Man costume, and he will have awkward interactions with other superheroes. Whatever this last means, sounds funny!

I found this fan art with Tom being SpiderMan, and looks pretty cool, what do you think?
July 8, 2015: Marisa Tomei To Play “Aunt May” In Spider-Man Reboot
Aunt May
I didn't mention before, but there was a huge scandal about the new Peter Parker being so young (I don't get it anyway, the one from comics is a teenager, what's all the fuss about?!).
Anyway, another controversy here, because this Aunt Mary, interpreted by Marisa Tomei (50) is too young and too hot! lol But if Peter is younger, maybe she has to be younger too, right?
May and Ben Parker took full custody of their nephew Peter after his parents were killed in a plane crash.
In the comics, she found out Peter was indeed Spider-Man, when she visited him while he was recovering from a major battle with the villainous Morlun.

August 5, 2015: Kraven the Hunter Rumored to be the Villain.
According to the rumors, Kraven the Hunter could be the next villain in the Spider-Man series. Kraven is a big game hunter with enhanced senses and strength, and believes hunting and capturing Spider-Man is the greatest challenge. The exciting thing about this choice of villain is how different he is from previous villains. He's not going to blow up Manhattan. He has no ties to OsCorp or Peter's family history. Kraven is only there to terrorize Spider-Man. Source: ropeofsilicon.com
