" First Viewing Viewing Date: September 18th Via: Tubi (via VPN) Plot: A bizarre series of sudden disappearances on the streets of New York City point toward something living in the sewer system. Rating: 5.8/10 Why Did I Watch It? This is another '80s horror flick I've yet to see."

" A recent article in a New York newspaper reported that there were large colonies of people living under the city... The paper was incorrect. What is living under the city is not human. C.H.U.D. is under the city. The title of the movie is an abbreviation that stands for Cannibalistic Humanoid Underground Dwellers. C.H.U.D. is a 1984 American science fiction horror film directed by Douglas Cheek, produced by Andrew Bonime, and starring John Heard, Daniel Stern, and Christopher Curry in his fi"

"Pros: John Heard and Daniel Stern, and their earlier performances. The overall pro urban environmental measage. The music by David Hughes and Martin Copper Itโs really not that bad of a film. New York City, and all of its 80โs dark, grit, and slime. Con: The effects are cheesy as hell."

"A movie that over a period of time, garnered a cult following, however credits hated it. However, itโs better than it lets itself out to be. And I didnโt know it at the time, but it was very first introduction to Daniel Stern and John Goodman."

" Date: 10/29/2018 Viewed: Blu-Ray Re-watch Note: I have a lot of nostalgia of seeing this movie as a kid back in the 90s. I still enjoy this movie even though it is not a great movie. I do find this movie to be a fun B movie from start to finish. The movie even has a fun cast of characters in my opinion. The CHUDs themselves are very cool looking and the movie has some pretty good special effects. I also love the dark and dirty feeling of the grubby areas of New York City that you have this "

"October 5thC.H.U.DFirst Viewing.I'm a huge fan of 80s horror. The cheesier the better. I am trying to watch as many 80s horror flicks that I haven't seen this month. This one wasn't as bad as I had thought. I could follow it and I wanted to stick around to see the outcome. Plus it was awesome seeing John Goodman in a cameo role!"

" Directed by: Douglas Cheek Produced by: Andrew Bonime Written by: Parnell Hall and Shepard Abbott Cinematography: Peter Stein Edited by: Claire Simpson Music by: Martin Cooper and David A. Hughes Distributed by: New World Pictures"

"LAST WATCHED: 7/10/2017I totally did not check out the cast list of this movie before I watched it, so imagine my surprise when I see, not one, but two future alumni from Home Alone. This was also the first movie I'd seen outside of the Home Alone franchise to feature Daniel Stern, so it was weird seeing him in a somewhat intelligent human being role, instead of a bumbling thief. Overall, I wasn't that impressed with this movie; the story was so silly and the characters were crazy."

"What stays underground, doesn't stay underground for long. Like toxic waste, and C.H.U.D.S. Also, we are responsible for the mess we make. Literally and figuratively speaking."

""Ugly. Slobbering. Ferocious. Carnivorous." "They're not staying down there, anymore!" "You Won't Want To Know What It Means."
