A good movie

10 years before 'Twilight' became a worldwide phenomenom synonym of teenage hysterya and disgust or indifference from the film community, there was actually another film released with the same title that pretty much everybody has forgotten. It is too bad since it is actually a pretty good film noir with an impressive cast (Paul Newman, Susan Sarandon, Gene Hackman, James Garner, Reese Witherspoon, Stockard Channing, Giancarlo Esposito, Liev Schreiber, M. Emmet Walsh). The funny thing is that whereas the current 'Twilight' flicks focus on young actors who still have a lot to prove, this flick displays 4 older actors (Paul Newman, Susan Sarandon, Gene Hackman, James Garner) who have nothing to prove anymore and they all delivered some spellbinding performances. Above all, I enjoyed Paul Newman who, at 70 years old (!), was still damned charismatic and the coolest actor ever. I must admit that the plot was pretty generic but I thought it was entertaining enough and we all know that those movies are not about the plot but about the characters and the mood. To conclude, even though it is actually nothing really mind-blowing, I really enjoyed it and it is definitely worth a look, especially if you like the genre.
