Thanks for more substantive comments. Perhaps my mistake has been to interpret unittest++ as a complete package, not merely a lib or API. I believe when JUnit shipped it came with at least two different test runners (and many more have appeared since, of course) and I was merely offering a better cmd line one (looking for one in the stock distribution or for some way to actually run tests was the longest something I had to figure out to start using unittest++).
