Tween Girl Gift Ideas
I pride myself on nailing the gift giving when it comes to my girls. With one tween and one eight-year-old going who thinks she’s a tween I feel rather equipped to write a post about what tween girls want for Christmas (or anytime). One thing you’ll notice is that everything is all about aesthetics. My oldest (11) describes her style as preppy aesthetic, I don’t know what that means but I know she likes all of these things has mentioned them more than a dozen times over the last couple of months.
Tween Girl Gift Ideas
Silk Pillowcase | I bought one for each of my girls but I don’t even have one myself. Isn’t that the epitome of mom-ing. These are supposed to be great for the skin and hair. I don’t know – both girls wanted them so I bought em’.
Laneige Lip Mask Gift Set – I’ve seen so many Laneige gift sets this season so I don’t think you can go wrong with any of them. I like this one because it has the full size lip mask along with two smaller ones in different scents. I got my girls Laneige lip masks when we were in Seoul and they use it every night.
Bluetooth Speaker – Both girls are in their music era. It’s mostly Taylor Swift for P and basically everything for Millie. They always want to listen to music in the bathroom while they shower or get ready. Currently they keep their iPad or phone on the toilet and I’m terrified something is going to drop in a tub of water. I thought this would be a nice solution. It’s small enough that we can slide it in the beach bag too for outings. Win-win.
Photo Printer – We just had a discussion about how we want to do better with documenting our travels. The girls and I recently got travel journals but I thought a photo printer like this that we could print photos from our phones onto sticker paper and add to our travel journals would be a really cool way to capture all of the memories we’ve been making out here.
Slippers – I think these go along with the “preppy aesthetic” – I don’t really know to be honest but my kids want them.
Tri-fold Mirror – Both girls really want vanities for their “skincare routine” but we just don’t have the space for a whole other piece of furniture in their rooms so I thought this would be a nice compromise. I really love how into fashion and beauty they are right now. I swear I learn more from them than they learn from me.
Jade/Quartz Roller – I bought it. I don’t know what it does but my girls wanted one. Matt reminded me that I had a jade roller once. I also only used it once and it sat in a drawer for years before I let it go. Again, no clue what it does but if your kid is into skincare they probably want one too…
AirPods – There’s a theme here and it’s basically fashion, beauty, electronics. Both girls have asked for AirPods for years. We’re finally giving in because one of the two is responsible enough to have them and I’m just crossing my fingers that the other one will do her best.
Quilted Puffer Tote – It’s giving aesthetic and maybe I bought it because I want to steal it but it’s just really cute. We travel a ton now and I really like anything that is easy to carry and makes everyone’s life a little simpler. I think this would be a really nice carryon tote for travel, as well as pretty good overnight bag for my oldest.
Tumbler – My husband is going to flip when my girls open these because the last thing we need is another cup. Yet, here we are. This one is “different” because it’s aesthetic or whatever. I don’t know, these things are all the rage and of course they are on the wishlist.
SOL DE JANEIRO Body Mist – I have been using SOL DE JANEIRO BEIJA FLOR body cream for years and it is still one of my favorite scents. My girls are constantly stealing it from me so recently I got them each their own small little container and they both are so giddy about it. Peighton requested this body mist for Christmas. I can’t say no because I love the scent so much.
Skincare Headband/Wristband Set – I had the wristbands on my favorite things list because they are spectacular if you hate the way water runs down your arms when you wash your face. Millie wanted a headband to keep her hair out of her face so I got this set. You can never have too many of the wristbands.
Checkered Blanket – This will be the third one I’ve purchased of this blanket. It’s so soft and snuggly. This neutral color way is made for my girl P who loves all things neutral and “aesthetic”.
There you have it – our not exhaustive but pretty nice list of things that tween girls will want and LOVE this holiday season. If your girls are going gaga for something that’s not on the list, please share so the rest of us can be clued in and be the supermoms that we all know we are!
