Samira Maas made us happy when she debuted in Life Is Beautiful (2009), a made-for-TV movie from the Netherlands that corrected our pessimistic point of view. How could we be sad or depressed when there are people like Samira in the world, who like to get naked and bring us joy? That brings us to her second credit, the drama called Joy (2010). Samira plays the title character, an emotionally damaged young woman, only 18 years of age, who was given up at birth, grew up in foster families and now lives on the fringes of society, but she clings to the fact that her name means that she is a product of love. Well, she’s made us produce love juice.
