Create art with your empty spools of thread! Gelli Arts® artist Birgit Koopsen loves to use the variety of circles at the ends of the spools as markmaking tools for gel printing. In this video, Birgit uses her brayer clean up/roll off papers as the base for her monoprints. These papers can become art journal backgrounds, collage paper, paper to stamp on or die cut from. Use matte medium as the pick-up layer so it doesn't change the colors of your pretty background. Leave the paper on the plate until you’re sure it’s completely dry before you pull it from the Gelli® plate. #gelliarts #gelprinting #printmaking #monoprinting #printingplate #threadspools
