I’ve learned from my Hispanic friends who grew up with it that they either love it or hate it… I love it, so give it a go and tell me what you think. My journey with Tepache began at a local restaurant where I was introduced to it by chefs trained in Mexico City. When they took it off the menu because it was not a popular seller, they generously shared their knowledge, teaching me how to make this basic recipe at home. This drink became a part of my holistic approach to health, incorporating its diverse yeast and bacterial cultures to support my well-being. Here’s how I make Tepache 🍹 Ingredients: - 1 organic pineapple, washed well (skin, core, and a couple handfuls of pineapple) - 1 cup brown sugar - 4 - 6 cups water Instructions: 1. In a 2-quart jar, combine 4 cups of water and 1 cup of brown sugar. 2. Remove the skin and core, and add them to the jar. Add a few pieces of fresh pineapple. 3. Seal the jar with a fermentation burping lid or cover it with cheesecloth, or use a plastic lid and leave it slightly loose. 4. Place the jar in a pantry or a cool, dark place for 3 to 4 days to allow fermentation. I place it in a shallow dish incase it bubbles over. 5. After fermentation, a foam layer may form on top. Skim off the foam using a spoon. 6. Strain the liquid to separate it from the pineapple solids, which you can compost. 7. Keep your Tepache in the refrigerator and consume within 2 weeks. 8. Enjoy the refreshing and tangy flavor of your homemade tepache! It’s like pineapple soda pop but good for you. Note: Several of my friends throw in cinnamon sticks and cloves in their tepache. 389K views · 8.4K reactions | The easiest way to save your Christmas tree is to make a healthy, natural “sprite” by extracting the vitamin C contained in its pine needles. Roughly 1.8 million tonnes of Christmas trees are discarded every year, which is the equivalent of 178 Eiffel Towers or 145,000 London buses. Plant it in the garden, shred it to use as mulch, make a natural sprite—the possibilities are endless. Waste is a product of your imagination. Happy New Year and much love to every single one of you. Bringing back this recipe so you can enjoy a cozy, delicious treat that's perfect for this season. Ingredients: 4 egg yolks 80 g of granulated sugar - (1/4 cup + 3 tbsp) 80 g of Marsala or other any dessert wine (1/4 cup + 1 tbsp) Instructions: 1. Whisk up egg yolks at room temperature with sugar using an electric whisk until the mixture is creamy. 2. At this point, you can add half the Marsala and mix again with the whisk. Once incorporated, proceed with the second half of liqueur and mix once more. 3. Now using a double boiler, start whipping the zabaione, still using the whisk, for about ten minutes until it is fluffly. 4. Turn off the heat, mix for a few more minutes then serve your hot zabaione with cookie crumbs, or with fresh fruit, and chocolate shavings. 🏷️ #zabaione #christmasrecipes #easyrecipes #italianfood #recipevideo | Giulia Ardizzone

The classic Italian liqueur is surprisingly easy to make and we love keeping a bottle stashed in the freezer. We used eight large organic lemons. You only want the outer peel and a bottle of Everclear. This batch infused for about two and a half weeks and then we strained it and added in simple syrup.
