Plus no high clearance vehicles required and all are dog and kid friendly! Gila Slot: 🥾Varies 📍Snow Canyon State Park There are a few paths to reach this slot canyon so choose the right one for you and make sure to not trespass on private property. Once you reach this narrow slot keep an eye out for the petroglyphs along the walls! Gunlock Slot: 🥾 2.1 miles 📍Gunlock State Park Tucked near Gunlock Reservoir, this slot canyon features unique rock formations and captivating light as it filters through the narrow walls. A peaceful spot for those seeking solitude and beauty. 🚨Definitely recommend using some navigation like @alltrails Fossil Canyon: 🥾 3 miles 📍Technically AZ Yes, this one technically crosses over the Arizona border, but I think it is close enough to include on this list. Fossil Canyon is named for the ancient marine fossils embedded in its walls. 🚨Check AllTrails for current road conditions, also be prepared to help dogs and children scramble over some larger rocks. Jenny’s Canyon: 🥾 .3 miles 📍Snow Canyon A short hike that rewards you with a fun slot canyon and webbing along the sandstone walls. It’s a must-see for any skill level. St. George Narrows: 🥾.25 📍Pioneer Park Also known as ‘The Crack,’ the St. George Narrows challenges hikers to squeeze through incredibly tight sandstone walls (if you wish). This is likely the most accessible of all listed. Definitely recommend exploring the rest of the 52 acre park and the free @redhillsdesertgarden Nextdoor. ✅Remember to follow leave no trace principles as you visit these great spots. Entrance fees are required at State Parks. Southern Utah Hiking and Adventures @snowcanyonstatepark @gunlocksp @redcliffsreserve | Utah Hiker - St. George and Beyond Hiking Adventures

This maze of narrow canyons, towering sandstone fins, and arches offers a unique challenge for the true explorer. 👉Permits are required and here is what you need to know: 1. Permits help protect this fragile environment, as well as create a positive (less crowded) experience. 2. Permits can be reserved online or at the visitor center up to 7 days in advance, no less than 2 days in advance. 3. You can choose self-guided (year round) or ranger guided (March-October). 4. Permits are limited, so I recommend getting a permit as soon as they open for the day you want to hike. 🚨The hike is non-traditional, with no official trail—so be ready to scramble, squeeze, and navigate. I highly recommend downloading a trail from @alltrails or your preferred navigation app as a starting point. As you complete the trail hike only on hard surfaces and sandy washes. Don’t disrupt the cryptobiotic soil. As part of the self-guided option you’re required to watch an educational video explaining this! 🤓 Moab Utah and Arches National Park Hikes @archesnps | Utah Hiker - St. George and Beyond Hiking Adventures

It’s important to leave these places better than found them so they can be enjoyed for many generations to come 🚮 | Nick Kokenos & Erica Battle | VANLIFE + FOODIES + UNIQUE STAYS

I almost thought these features were cooler than The Wave itself, but that’s just my opinion 🤭 definitely recommend checking these spots out if you have a permit! is The Wave on your bucket list? if so, how many times have you tried for a permit? 😄 the only way I was able to get one was by applying for the daily lottery while in Page 🎟️ #thewavearizona #visitpage #bucketlistadventures #arizonaisgorgeous #arizona_landscapes #thewave #coyotebuttes | Jessica Kesti | 📍Arizona | Hiking + Adventures
