Does the discomfort radiate down your back or make it tough to move your neck and shoulders freely? You might be dealing with an irritated or pinched dorsal scapular nerve. 📚 Anatomy & Function: The dorsal scapular nerve originates from the C5 nerve root in your neck, running down to innervate the rhomboid muscles and the levator scapulae. These muscles are crucial for stabilizing and moving your shoulder blades, playing a key role in shoulder and upper back movements. 🩺 Symptoms: • Sharp, localized pain between the shoulder blades • Radiating discomfort to the upper back or neck Muscle weakness or spasms in the affected
Let’s make sure those hips don’t lie
This is such a good move 🤤 It mobilizes AND activates muscles in the hip that can “clamp” down and make you feel stuck 😩 - So give this a try and watch those hips open up! 🕺🏻 - Make sure to take your time and BREATHE! 😯💨 - As always, if this move causes you pain, decrease the range of movement. If pain persists, stop the exercise! 🤗 - Like, follow, and share for more! 🙏❤️
Let’s jive it up and get rid of some pain!
This move feels REALLY good! - It’s amazing for anyone with neck pain, shoulder pain, headache/migraines, frozen shoulder, shoulder “impingements”, and much more! - Now for those of you thinking “if I have frozen shoulder, how the hell do I get my arm up like that”, I want you to focus more on the push back of the arms and moving the head! Get whatever height you have and work through that! - But otherwise, once you get to that upper range, this move really does become quite juicy and amazing!
Talk about a 2 for 1
This is an awesome neck and shoulder pain fix that plays on mobilizing different muscles of the neck and shoulder to free those bad boys up 🔥 - You might feel popping, cracking, pulling, but don’t worry, that’s all fine! 🤩 - Make sure to take your time with this move and do plenty of deep breathing 😮‍💨 - As always, if this move causes you pain, decrease the range of movement. If pain persists, stop the exercise! 🤗

Knot in your shoulder blade? 🔽 #stretching #mobility
Difficulty: Easy Knot in your shoulder blade? 🔽 ✨ This sensation of knot (what even is a “knot”) or a hyperactive area of tissue can seem like it’s begging for someone to drop an elbow into it and grind away buuut for many of us this approach is similar to poking a bruise. Ya, it still hurts. Ya, it’s still there. 💥 Might I present a different way? Let’s try to make that area work and see if it shakes itself out. This move hits the rotator cuff, lats, thoracic mobility- all the things to get your back and blades feeling good. Hit this consistently for a couple days and see if that area starts to feel better for longer. 👉 Please tag & share with friends that could benefit from this post ❤️ Great post by @drkatie_clare Follow 👉🏼 @planetfitnessaim

Meaning what is causing everything to tighten up and produce headaches. One of those things have to do with the muscle that act the shoulder. In this video, I showed the latissimus dorsi and the upper trapezius and how they have a tug-of-war relationship. If you can mobilize the latissimus dorsi and free tension on the upper trap, you can reduce neck pain and headaches. Give the exercises in this video a try. #neckpain #neckpaintreatment #headacherelief #headachessuck #uppercervical #latsworkout #latissimusdorsi"
