The Murphy bed was already here when we moved in, we just made it look a little more built-in and added a ton of much-needed storage. We removed a closet and added a desk, so this room really does do double duty now! The best part is always the finishing touches, like all the special details I brought in, in partnership with @rejuvenation ! The Shepherd Flatweave Rug, the fantastic Hood Classic Pendant, The Felix Single Sconce, the Massey Hardware, the Poppy Handstitched Bedding, the cute Mini Vornado V-Fan, the Arlie Bentwood Rack, and even the Lewis Switch Plate covers are all from Rejuvenation and they MAKE the room. Katherine | Interior design & DIY on Instagram: "I had quite a few questions on the wardrobes after my last reel, so I thought I’d share how we built in our IKEA Pax wardrobes. Can’t believe it’s taken me this long to put this together 🙈 The IKEA website is great for playing around with layout options, they have so many different designs inside the Pax. I regret not having the jewellery tray but I had to prioritise clothes! Most period houses will have different sized alcoves, so make sure you measure both of them. Then measure the height of your skirting and coving / trim at the top, so you know what size wardrobe you can fit in. There are a couple of different options on the website. Then build a base for the wardrobe to sit on, making sure it’s high enough for the doors to clear t
