My mirror is 48” and I used two each cedar and eucalyptus garlands. I loosely twisted them together before I hung them on the wall and then adjusted more. I used damage free cam and hooks to keep to garland on the wall and in place. To complete the look I tied a looked now with my camel velvet ribbon and added the cutest set of $12 jingle bells. Erin Francois | Vintage • DIY • Home on Instagram: "There’s no mantle to decorate over here so I’m taking it out on the mirror. 😄 I love the luxe, drippy look of this garland and it’s so easy to do. Attach heavy duty (15 lb) command hooks above both top corners of the mirror. These will give the illusion of the garland being beautifully draped over the mirror. Meanwhile the bulk and weight is actually supported by hidden hooks. Start with faux garland. I’m layering Norfolk garland and cedar garland. Create floral wire loops around the garland & hang on your hooks. Layer the garlands running opposite directions. If you’re feeling extra, create little bouquets of fresh pine, berries, and pinecones and tuck them into your garland. No need to wire them. Secure command hooks at multiple sites around the mirror to give you plenty of places to hang your foliage/garland. 2. Use the right size/thickness of garland…a slightly less bushy garland that you can layer up works much better than a thicker one for this and can be layered up to get the level of thickness you want. The cedar garlands used here are @christmasdirect and are only £24.99….I used two here but you could use one and just add in other stems and foliage if preferred.
