Alison | Volleyball Coach on Instagram: "Volleyball float serve contact drill for a standing serve✨ to have a faster serve contact and swing! this drill is great for beginner volleyball players, who want to work on a better contact and a faster swing. This is also great for volleyball players who want to serve faster and hit the ball harder. ❌ so often volleyball players miss their serve because they don’t have a solid contact with the ball ❌ many players have a slow arm swing ❌ many players hit the ball with their fingers or even their wrist when trying to contact the ball ✅ Use this to practice having a solid contact with the ball aiming to hit the middle of your hand on the middle of the ball, always keeping your french fries 🍟 or fingers off the ball😉 ✅ Hold the ball in place, Beginner Volleyball, Float Serve, Volleyball Coach, Volleyball Practice, Coaching Volleyball, Volleyball Players, French Fries, Volleyball, Float

Edge Volleyball Training on Instagram: "Pass a 3-ball in serve receive by dropping your shoulder, instead of swinging your body/arms towards the target which causes inconsistent arms that lead to bad passes. The debate between dropping your shoulder and facing your target centers on accuracy and control, favoring dropping your shoulder for precise and controlled movements leading to more consistent passes. Swinging your body/arms and facing the target tends to push the ball into zone 2, behind the setter, or ends up as a shank. Remember when dropping your shoulder, do not drop or move your weight into your hip, stay balanced. The more balanced on serve receive the better! Adjust to harder serves by bringing your arms closer to absorb momentum while dropping your shoulder to the target Volleyball Training, Zone 2, Remember When, Volleyball, Target, Train, Bring It On, Instagram

Alison Furno on Instagram: "Volleyball float serve toss placement ✨

This is really important for beginner volleyball players to learn when working on their overhand serve!

❌ Many volleyball players toss in the middle or to the left (for right handed players) causing them to serve out to the side, or loss of power in their armswing

✅ Toss in front of your serving arm, swing straight through the ball

Let’s keep getting better at overhand float serves! 🏐

NOEZYBUCKETS | Volleyball on Instagram: "Do you find yourself connecting your arms too early on float serves? ❌
Do you end up guessing where the ball will go and swinging your arms? 😬

Float serves float! As a result they’re going to move around in the air and change direction right up until the last second.

🧠 Therefore it’s important as a passer that we wait until the last second to connect our arms so that we don’t end up swinging at the ball and hoping for the best.
