Rounding to the nearest 10 can be difficult for 3rd and 4th grade students but I can promise that a hands on approach using a number line is a more effective strategy than any rhyme or anchor chart will EVER be. Follow the steps to this lesson and all of your students will be successful when it comes to rounding to the nearest ten. After the lessons, continue your practice with games and activities that will allow students to refine their new understandings.
