Summer is here! Let's pull out the sand! I used kinetic sand in my bin, but regular sand will work the same. Just add some ocean animals, rocks, and some sand toys, and you're set to go! Sit back and relax while your kiddos have fun!

This fits under the literacy curriculum because it fits under alphabetic knowledge because the letters are printed and the children must recognize them. These letters are also print knowledge. I would use this activity also as a sensory table activity where the students are choosing to pick up the shell they want which would spark conversations about their personal experiences with the beach/ocean.
