1.8K views · 186 reactions | Do this to master “Stay” the right way! 🐾 In the video, we uncover the common mistake of repeatedly saying “stay” while rewarding the release instead of the stay itself. 🚫 Watch as we demonstrate the correct technique: stepping back, rewarding your pup while they’re in position, and then using a clear release cue, “break,” to reinforce their hard work! 💪🏾 Link in bio 🔗 #smartdogstraining #onlinecoaching #dogtrainingtips #bigdogsunday #dogreelsofinstagram #belgianmalinoislovers #dogsofinstagram #dogchallenge #dogtricks #newcastleupontyne #dogtraining101 #dogtraininguk #dogwalking #dogtrainersofinstagram #malinoislife #newcastledogtrainer #boardandtrainprogram #northeastdogtrainer #dogtricksofinstagram #malinoistraining #dogtrainingadvice #dogtrainingvideo #dogtrainingvideos #belgianmalinois #k9 #dogtrainingschool #dogobedience #malinoistraining | Milan Shukla | JVKE · this is what space feels like
63K views · 4.3K reactions | How to teach your dog to settle ⤵️ 🐕 Place a Mat onto the floor 🐕 Lure your dog over to the mat and place into a down 🐕 Shower the mat with treats (to build positive associations and to build duration) 🐕 Slow your rate of reinforcement. Give a treat every 5 seconds, 10 and so on. This is to build duration and keep them staying for longer Lastly, proof their settle. This means taking them to different places and building up an amazing settle. ✅️ Take your time ✅️ Use the same mat when out and about ✅️ Practice this inside and out. It can be used with visitors, outside settles and various other situations Follow for more tips ✨️ #dogtraining #dogtrainingtips #dogs | Josh | Dog Training & Behaviourist | brandk9dogtraining · 🚨 Follow for more 🚨
66K views · 460 reactions | Teach your dog leave in under 30 seconds ⤵️ 🚫 Don't use the command at first until they understand what it means ✅️ Use a lead to create boundaries. Each time they go for the food, say "ah ah" (or no/wrong are other examples) and pull them back Then... when they stop going forward and stop or sit.. BOOM 💥 Reward them immediately Practice this until they are beginning to understand and then introduce the word "leave" When they are at this stage, practice without the lead and different foods! 148K views · 2.8K reactions | This one exercise transformed how my dog was able to focus on me and ignore distractions. It’s called ‘Chuck the Cheese!” Also works with other (healthier) food variants, but the name wouldn’t be as catchy 😜 You’ll need some pea-sized cubes of tasty food. Cheese is ok in small quantities but don’t go crazy with the amounts🙃. Importantly for this, it’s pale, so your dog can see it easily, and dense enough to throw. Stage 1️⃣ with your dog by your side, throw a cube of cheese out and just allow them to go get it. Repeat lots to build a desire to chase after the cheese. Stage 2️⃣ holding the harness or collar this time, throw the cheese out and wait for any TINY element of relaxation where they stop lunging. Say “yes” and release them to get the food. Repeat lots, you should find they release tension quicker the more they practise. Stage 3️⃣ this is where the magic happens 🎉 Ensure your dog’s head is level with yours so they can easily glance across at you. Same as stage 2, but this time you’re going to restrain them and wait. Allow them time to think. After a short while, they should turn their head to look you in the eyes as if to question why you haven’t released them. Boom 💥! Say YES, and release them. Your dog has just learnt the vital skill of task switching (comes in pretty handy when training them to respond to the whistle), and also to ignore the distraction of the tasty cheese. Importantly, you didn’t have to say a thing to get them to do it, they worked it out all by themselves. The best way of learning by far. Here are the next key steps in this process 👇 Step 4: As your dog gets used to the verbal cue, take away your hand (and the visual of the treat) and focus on practicing the verbal cue by itself. Step 5: Practice around the house with no other distractions. Then start adding distractions in the house. This can take the form of placing a favourite toy close by and getting your dog to look away from the toy and at you. Try adding noise by turning on a video with nature sounds/dog sounds/etc and practicing again. Step 6: Move outside in an area with very little distractions. Cluster feed treats (2 or 3 at once as a big reward) when your dog looks at you. Step 7 Practice in new places and distracting environments. BONUS: At any time if your dog is unable to do the command, take a step back in training to the previous step that was done successfully. . . . . . . . . . . #dogtraining #dogtrainingtips #puppytraining #puppytrainingtips #dogtrainer #dogtrainingvideos #zurich #positivereinforcement #doglife #germanshepherd ##gsdofinstagram #gsdtraining #gsdpuppy #dogguydaily #dogtrainingmethods #teachingeyecontact #dogtraining101 #dogtrainingadvice #dogtrainerzurich #mondaymotivation | Yash | Trust based Dog Training | Sage The Gemini · Tick Tick Boom (feat. #hund #anleinen #training | Taru, Nuvi(Anoki🌈) & Raphael Knop | tollerbro_s · Original audio
