After some research and I knew this wasn’t realistic. First, soapstone is quick to absorb oil. The island is the main prep and eating space within our kitchen. With myself as a messy cook and 2 toddler that are messy eaters, I knew I had to find a better option while achieving the ‘look’ I wanted. We did our homework and went with a brand we hoped would meet our expectations and they most certainly did. These Natural Shaker cabinets from @lilyanncabinets_ look and feel high end but they cost less than big box store cabinets! Every step of our experience was really smooth. The only hiccup we ran into was one piece arrived with a little flaw in it and I let their customer service know and they were super quick to replace it for me!
