This is a travel vintage vanity box. Made circa 1940 or 1950 by Asprey in London of a dark red suede outer with a pale pink silk lining. There is a rectangular mirror slightly distressed at the back which can be removed to create a freestanding mirror. The front lifts to reveal 10 sections. 6 of these are part of a top tray. There are 2 glass bottles with cork lined screw on lids and inner Bakelite screw on droppers. It has glass cream/trinket pots with card lined screw on cream enamel lids. The outer lid has the monogram S. There are 2 clip closures which are released and open by squeezing and releasing side clips. The outer suede is in very good condition. The inner silk has age related spotting and discolouration. The enamel lids are worn.
