This large enchanting 14.50 carat faceted elongated oval amethyst is set in a mid-century modern 14 karat yellow gold setting that has a rose gold hue. This amethyst's rich deep purple comes alive in the light enhancing its brightness. The stone measures approximately 1 1/16" long by 1/2" wide and is held in the mounting by four stations of double prongs. Under the gem, the mounting appears as a frame highlighting the beauty of the stone in this circa 1970 mounting making the top of the ring approximately 1 1/4" long by 5/8" wide. This vibrant amethyst is very clean with no visible inclusions. The ring rises approximately 7/16" off the finger, is a US size 6.5, and weighs 9.1 grams.
