It's Lee here at Gnome and Backyard and we made these slippers gnomes on a live video several weeks ago but many of you were asking for a short video of how to do them again. So, what we did is we took Dollar Tree slippers and as you can see, I folded the inside of the slipper over so that the inside is showing out and I stuffed a little bit of stuffing in the back. I'm now taking some hot glue and running a bead of hot glue along the back and this is how I am going to seal up the back of our gnomes beard but this is a great great project for the kids and grandkids. It is so much fun and these slippers come in several different patterns. So, what I'm doing now is I'm just taking a little bit of batting and stuffing the top of the hat. You can make these in all different shapes and sizes. You can have a little bit fuller ones and you can have some that are a little bit thinner. I am going to put a hang tag on this so I took a piece of twine and I'm just tying a simple knot in it and then I'm going to hot glue the twine to the back of our slippers and secure it with some hot glue. These also make really fun ornaments or they would actually look really cute attached to your Christmas presents this year. I'm going to take a little bit more hot glue and dab it onto the top of the hat and then pinch the top of the hat closed so it looks more like a triangular shape. Now we have our cute little gnomes body and his hat all we need to do is add the nose and I am using a tan pom pom for this gnome I think it's really a good addition because it's fluffy just like his beard and when you buy a pair of these slippers from the Dollar Tree, you'll be able to make two of these gnomes for one dollar. You're not spending money on a beard or separate money on a hat. This is almost an all-in-one craft project. I am going to add a little bow to the top of his hat just to give it a little bit more holiday detail. This bow is also red and black check and has some cute white snowflakes on it. Here are a few other gnomes that we did make in our live. We used the same slipper for this one but just did the hat a little differently. This was done with a black slipper.
