PM Narendra Modi’s Address Before the Budget Session

PM Narendra Modi delivered a significant address to the media before the start of the Budget Session, emphasizing the pride of having a government serving its third consecutive term after a gap of 60 years. He noted that the nation views the presentation of the Budget by a third-term government as a glorious event.

Describing the Budget as a milestone of the Amrit Kaal, PM Narendra Modi emphasized that it aims to fulfill long-standing guarantees on the ground. “This Budget will chart the course for the next five years of our administration and establish a robust foundation for achieving the vision of a developed India, or Viksit Bharat, by 2047,” he stated.

The Prime Minister highlighted India’s status as the fastest-growing major economy, with an 8 percent growth rate over the past three years. He attributed this success to a positive outlook, investment, and performance, which have created peak opportunities for the nation.

Urging Members of Parliament to rise above political battles, PM Narendra Modi called for a united effort to serve the country for the next five years, putting the interests of the nation, its poor, farmers, women, and youth first. He emphasized that the Parliament is meant to serve the 140 crore citizens of India, not political agendas.

Reflecting on the past, the Prime Minister lamented that the negative approach of some political parties had hindered many Parliamentarians from voicing their views and addressing their constituencies’ issues. He appealed for all members, especially first-timers, to be given opportunities to present their perspectives.

PM Narendra Modi concluded by expressing confidence that the Parliament would engage in fruitful discussions, driven by positive views that propel the country forward. He reiterated that while opposing views are essential, negative views that hamper development must be avoided. The Prime Minister’s address set a hopeful and collaborative tone for the Budget Session, aiming to realize the dreams and aspirations of a developed India by 2047.
