    You can find the facts and details in a story by thinking

    about the main idea. Read the story below. First, find the main idea. It is underlined for you. The other sentences are details. They tell more about the main idea.
    We fed the chickens and the sheep. Then we let the cows out into the field. Next, we got ready for planting. There is lots of work to do on the Community Farm. Find the main idea of the story. It is found in the last sentence. Lets find the details that tell more about the main idea.

    Look at the circle below. The circle tells the main idea.
