    SCALLOPED COASTER

    The following pattern is my original design. Please only copy or print this pattern for personal use. This pattern has not been tested so please contact me if you find any errors.

    MATERIALS: Hook: Size G Yarn: 4 Ply Cotton Stitches used: ch, sl st, sc, hdc, dc. Difficulty: EASY

    ROW 1: Ch 4, hdc in 4th ch from hk. Ch 1, (hdc, ch 1) in same sp 6 times. Sl st in 3rd ch of beg ch 4. ROW 2: Sl st in next ch-1 sp, ch 3, Do Not Turn. 6 dc in same sp. * Sk next ch-1 sp, 7 dc in next ch-1 sp. Rep from * twice more. Sk last ch-1 sp. Join with sl st in top of beg ch 3. ROWS 3: * Ch 3, sk next st, sc in next st. Rep from * around to last st. Ch 3, sl st in 1st ch of beg ch 3.

    RND 4: Sl st in next ch-3 sp. Ch 3, dc in same sp, dc in next sc, 2 dc in next ch-3 sp. Sc in next sc. * 2dc in next ch-3 sp. dc in next sc. 2 dc in next ch-3 sp. Sc in next sc. Rep from * around. Join with sl st in top of beg ch 3. FASTEN OFF.

    I have not tested this pattern so if you find an error please contact me. MATERIALS: Hook: Size E #10 Bedspread Cotton Stitches used: ch, sl st, dc, 5 dc shell (work 5 dc in the specified stitch), tr, 9 tr shell (Work 9 tr in the specified stitch) Difficulty: EASY

    RND 1: Ch 6, join with sl st in 6th ch from hk to form a lp. Ch 3, dc in ring, ch 2, * 2 dc in ring, ch 2. Repeat from * 4 times (6 sets of 2dc). Join with sl st in top of beg ch 3. RND 2: Sl st in next dc, sl st in next ch 2 sp. Ch 3, 4 dc in same sp, ch 1, * 5 dc in next ch 2 sp (5 dc shell made), ch 1. Repeat from * around. Join with sl st in top of beg ch 3. RND 3: Sl st in next 2 dc, ch 3, 4 dc in same sp, * 5 dc in next ch 1 sp (5 dc shell made). Sk next 2 dc, 5 dc in next dc (center dc of 5 dc group), sk next 2 dc. Repeat from * around. 5 dc in last ch 1 sp. Join with sl st in top of beg ch 3. RND 4: Sl st in next 2 dc, ch 4, 8 tr in same sp, * sc in center dc of next 5 dc set on previous row, 9 tr in center of next 5 dc set on previous row (9tr shell made). Repeat from * around. Sc in center of last 5 dc set. Join with sl st in top of beg ch 4. FASTEN OFF WEAVE IN ENDS.
