    The day of the Lord will bring shaking of the heavens and earth. All joy will be darkened as the Lord makes the earth empty, lays it waste, and scatters its inhabitants. The earth will be entirely emptied and plundered because the Lord has spoken. The inhabitants of the earth will be burned and few men left as confusion is broken down in the cities. They will cry out from the sea in the majesty of the Lord, as fear, pit and snare come upon the inhabitants of the earth. The earth will reel and totter under the weight of its transgression and will not rise again.

    Isaiah 13

    Therefore I will shake the heavens, And the earth will move out of her place, In the wrath of the LORD of hosts And in the day of His fierce anger. ALL JOY IS DARKENED Isaiah 24 Behold, the LORD makes the earth empty and makes it waste, Distorts its surface And scatters abroad its inhabitants. The land shall be entirely emptied and utterly plundered, For the LORD has spoken this word. The earth mourns and fades away, The world languishes and fades away; The haughty people of the earth languish. The earth is also defiled under its inhabitants, Because they have transgressed the laws, Changed the ordinance, Broken the everlasting covenant. 6 Therefore the curse has devoured the earth,

    And those who dwell in it are desolate. Therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned, And few men are left. The city of confusion is broken down; Every house is shut up, so that none may go in. In the city desolation is left, And the gate is stricken with destruction. They shall lift up their voice, they shall sing; For the majesty of the LORD They shall cry aloud from the sea. Fear and the pit and the snare Are upon you, O inhabitant of the earth. The earth shall reel to and fro like a drunkard, And shall totter like a hut; Its transgression shall be heavy upon it, And it will fall, and not rise again. Then the moon will be disgraced And the sun ashamed; For the LORD of hosts will reign On Mount Zion and in Jerusalem And before His elders, gloriously. Isaiah 29:15-16

    Woe unto them that seek deep to hide their counsel from the LORD, and their works are in the dark, and they say, Who seeth us? and who knoweth us?

    Surely your turning of things upside down shall be esteemed as the potter's clay: for shall the work say of him that made it, He made me not? or shall the thing framed say of him that framed it, He had no understanding? Isaiah 40:3-5 Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low: and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough places plain: And the glory of the LORD shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.
