N.B: 1. Broken back retaining wall section to be adopted at construction site for ease of construction with undressed stone boulder. 2. Construction of retaining wall with broken back provides stepped construction , speedy ,economical & quality can be achieved 3. Height of the wall is kept from 1.8m-2.0m to cater minor variation in Ground level. 4. For variation of GL up to 500mm, the top section with 600mm width can be raised without altering foundation depth. 5. Brick solling is optional, may not be require as site soil condition as said in estimate is hard & dense nature 6. Weep Hole must be provided preferably at 3m horiz.spacing & at least 300mm above GL to relieve the structure off hydrostatic pressure. 7. For arriving the at the structural dimensions, ref. has been made to "Analysis & design of substructures" by SWAMI SARAN & relevant IRC Code. 8. Cross-sectional area of retaining wall is 1.8 sq.m & 1.9 sq.m respectively for battered slope & one with broken back for stem-part. 9. Base-slab is consider in PCC M10 concrete, which can be keyed to stem-wall by providing key at junction. 10. At every 30m length of wall expansion joint with 40mm gap can be provided. Gap to be filled up with suitable unbonded material if required . 11. At every corner & junction i.e., where wall orients to other direction to be left un-jointed . 12. For future Superstructure Boundary wall construction, vertical reinf. @ 3m interval can be inserted on top 1m wall.
