camping equipment and outdoor clothing for them, taking their
needs into consideration.

• Obtained a JSLA UK level 1 award in Sports Leadership;
structured and implemented P.E lessons for primary school
children.

Skills and Aptitudes


• Enhanced my assertiveness and leadership qualities, enabling
me to think on my feet and gain vital organisational skills, by
holding a position of authority being in charge of one of the shop
floors, and training new staff members.
• Regular interaction with customers to push add-on sales in order
to meet individual and store targets, increasing my customer
service skills through being confident, professional and
presentable.
• Learning about the full range of products throughout the various
stores in order to competently advise customers.
• Attained invaluable teamwork skills, working together with staff
members and co-operating well with senior management.
• Working in busy environments, rapidly adapting to the pressures
of the given situation.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook Express
and have programmed in Java, Statistics and Mathematical
software.

Interests and Activities


• I have participated in several fundraising events for charity, my
greatest achievements being a 24 hour famine and sponsored
walks in the Sussex Downs.
• I enjoy visiting the theatre and have a passion for live music and
festivals.
• I am enthusiastic about camping, and have been on numerous
trips with family and friends.
• I have a keen interest in cooking, and regularly make cakes for
bake sales.
• I was part of my school Choir, and performed in several concerts
outside school, which developed my confidence to a great
extent.
• At sixth form I contributed to the creation of a Maths Club, my
role was to co-ordinate the meetings where we held
mathematical discussions and conducted extra help classes for
the AS students in the year below. I also assisted in organising
trips to London Universities, where we attended conferences and
lectures.
