    The Georgia Youth Science and Technology Centers (GYSTC) Inc.

    in collaboration with the University System


    of Georgia, the Technical College System of Georgia and the Georgia Department of Education, invite you to
    participate in a Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) Academy for middle-grade science and
    mathematics teachers. The STEM Teacher Academy will focus on integrating STEM education content with
    business-industry best practices to provide teachers real-world experience that can be utilized in the classroom.
    The Academy is open to 6th, 7th and 8th grade mathematics and science teachers for 2014-15 and is limited to
    an enrollment of 20 participants each at the following locations:
    Grade 6th, GYSTC State Headquarters at Kennesaw State University, Kennesaw, GA
    Grade 6th, Middle GA YSTC at South GA State College, Douglas, GA
    Grade 7th, West GYSTC at University of West GA, Carrollton, GA
    Grade 8th, Oconee River GYSTC at University of GA Athens, GA
    Grade 8th, Magnolia Midlands GYSTC at East GA State College, Swainsboro, GA
    Cost to participate in this Academy is $695 and it includes all materials. Two (2) PLUs will be awarded upon com-
    pletion of the Academy. Please RSVP your interest no later than J uly 21, 2014 to gystc@kennesaw.edu along
    with the teachers name and email address. The payment deadline for registration is J uly 31, 2014. For additional
