Melcon Rubric Tia Revisions

This rubric evaluates writing assignments in four key areas: organization, reasoning, evidence, and claim. For each area, students can earn points from 1 to 4, with 4 being distinguished or highest level work. For organization and reasoning, students' use of transitions and sentence structure is assessed. For evidence, the accuracy and strength of support for the claim is considered. For claim, the precision and sophistication of the argument is evaluated. A concluding statement is also assessed for how well it summarizes the overall argument.
