GROSS ELEMENT Elements are called tattwas;
SUBTLE ELEMENT The tanmatra, or more spiritual element; COLOR OF ELEMENT As per Tantric yoga. the color fo the gross element; SOUND OF ELEMENT Called the seed sound or bija-mantra of the element; the sound generated by the element in this chakra; CARRIER OF SOUND Every chakra is represented by an animal, or vahana, that carries the seed sound. Each animal reflects a certain quality available through the chakra; PETALS Every chakra is illustrated by a lotus, or padma, with a specific number of petals. The petals themselves are associated with certain sounds, deities, and meanings; Predominant sense: The specific sense associated with this chakra; Sense organ: The jnanendriya, or organ managing the related sense; Action organ: The karmendriya, or organ that generates the primary physical activity of this chakra; Vital breath: The type of breath managed by this chakra, if present; Cosmic realm or plane: Most chakras connect to a loka, or cosmic realm, or a distinct plane; when applicable, either or both are listed; Ruling goddess: Each chakra is supervised by a specific female goddess, the feminine divine; Ruling god: Each chakra is overseen by a particular male god, the masculine divine; Ruling planet: Planet considered aligned with this chakra; The lingum: Some chakras host linga, also called granthi or knots , that must be unwoven for the kundalini to rise.
