How To Use AFUDOSP Flash Utility?

To update the BIOS using AFUDOSP flash utility, you must first download the latest BIOS file and AFUDOSP.exe from the motherboard manufacturer's website. Copy these files to a bootable USB drive. Boot from the USB drive by pressing F7 during startup and selecting the USB device. Run AFUDOSP followed by the BIOS file name at the DOS prompt to start the BIOS update. Do not interrupt the system during the update to avoid crashing it. Once complete, the system will restart with the new BIOS installed.

How to use AFUDOSP flash utility?

Please log in ECS website (http://www.ecs.com.tw/) to download the latest BIOS file for your
mainboard. Then unzip that BIOS package & copy the following 2 files to your bootable USB
thumb drive.
BIOS file (eg. 101022S.ROM)
AFUDOSP.exe

Plug the bootable USB thumb drive into the USB port of your system.

Power on your system & hit [F7] to get the Boot menu. (Take H67H2-M mainboard as an example.)

Select the device name of that bootable USB thumb drive from the menu.

When system accesses DOS mode, please input the following command. Then press [Enter] key.
AFUDOSP

BIOS name.extension

Note: BIOS name.extension stands for the full name of the BIOS file you intend to update with.
egC:\>AFUDOSP

101022S.ROM

It will start updating BIOS as below.

Beware! Do NOT shut down or reset your system during BIOS flashing. Otherwise, the system
may be crashed!

Once its done, system will restart automatically & that means BIOS update has completed. You can
continue to run your system like before.
