Aesthetics:
None.

Safety:
Deburr all corners. DO NOT sharpen knife until ready for shipment.

Corrosion Resistance:
Blade: black powder coat
Pommel: black powder coat

Manufacturing:
Blade:
Cut from carbon steel, drill hole
Pommel:
Machine from steel block
Guard:
Punch out from brass sheet
Hilt:
Injection molding

CNC Plasma (blade):

Tolerances: +/- .005in on all features, unless otherwise specified.
All angles are +/- 5 degrees.
No more than 4:1 hole ratios

Grinding (blade):
Blade is flat ground, all angles for blade geometry are + or 3 deg.
Blade has 22 deg. final cutting edge.
Minimum Assembly Clearances:

Parts
Blade vs. Hilt
Hilt vs. Pommel
Pommel vs. Blade
Blade vs. Guard
Hilt vs. Pommel vs. Screw
Calculations:
Blade vs. Hilt:
T = H F Where H = 1.127in and F = 1.127in
T = 1.127 - 1.127 = 0
Hilt vs. Pommel:
T = H F Where H = .497in and F = .503in
T = .497-.503 = -.006in
Pommel vs. Blade
T = H F Where H = .500in and F = .458in
T = .500-.458 = .042
Blade vs. Guard:
T = H F where H = 1.127 and F = 1.122
T = 1.127 1.122 = .005
Hilt vs. Pommel vs. screw

Minimum Clearances
.000in
-.006in
.005in
.005in
.011in

Hole is .136+/- .003, MMC is .139in, LMC is .133in

Screw is .125
Min Clearance = MMC hole MMC screw = .136 - .125 = .011in
