    symptoms of systemic issues?

    Self-awareness of position within systems of privilege,


    power, and oppression

    How do you practice open and non-judgmental self-awareness?


    In what ways do you self reflect and what are the lessons you have learned
    from this process?
    What support do you need in order to increase your self-awareness?
    What areas of self-awareness do you feel most uncomfortable in
    addressing?

    Valuing the collective and individual assets

    Do you often tend to speak first or listen first when discussing an issue?
    Leaders must practice self-restraint in talking about themselves and let
    others speak freely. How will you prepare yourself and the environment for
    promoting non-judgmental receptiveness?
    In what ways do you seek further clarification and perspective before
    making a decision or forming an opinion?
    When analyzing experiences, leaders must often be familiar with macroenvironmental factors that lead to discrimination and oppression; how will
    the numerous avenues for learning inform and impact your ability to remain
    open and value others assets?
