This week I managed to get in 12.5 hours at my internship. I arrived Monday morning
and immediately picked back up where I left off on Friday. I spent the first half of the morning
updating personnel files and doing some organizing for my administrator. After lunch, I sat down
and chatted with my site supervisor. He asked me what is my problem solving technique? It
allowed me or reflect on how situations get resolved and I ran through the different steps that I
follow when solving a problem. This process will help anyone in any field but especially the
human service field because you are constantly encountering problems that need the best
resolution. I then had to leave for a job interview so that concluded my day.
I arrived back on Wednesday morning at 8:30 a.m. and my task for the day was to review,
proofread and add sections to the employee handbook. It was a tedious process and took up the
entire 6 hours that I was at my internship. Amongst other things, I was able to gather some
information for my agency report that is coming up. I gathered some yearly reports and received
a print out of the statistics that were needed from the EasyTrak system that the organization
utilizes.
