description here)

On completion of this lesson, students will be able to:
understand the idea of likely and unlikely, as well as the idea of impossible and

- 4 statements in bold big letters

Catering for diversity

(detail any adjustments considerations for

educational/resource adjustments)
use broadly basic language to enage the younger students, refrain from using more
complicated terms unless students show understanding, even then, keep the language basic
as not to lose students

Learning Experiences:
1. Introduction: (How will I engage the learners?)
Bring them down to the mat, rather then having them sit at the desk
where they can fidget.
Maybe start with a question, as a small bit of humour (how Likely is it
that everyone will behave today?) making note of any students using
this as an opportunity to call out and blame other students.

2. Sequence of learning experiences: (What will you do to help the

students achieve the learning objectives? What tasks and activities will
the students be involved in to help achieve the learning objectives?)
Start off with simple word exercises to introduce the concept, and see if
any of the students have prior knowledge
use physical props to enforce the lesson (using cards, or a jar with
coloured popsticks in addition to spinning disks),
- Be sure to write the words likely/unlikely/impossible/possible
on the board
get the students to start coming up with their own likely/unlikely
statements
eventually have students return to their desk, and write answers to the
four statements work Sheet.

3. Lesson conclusion: (How will you summarise the learning and relate it
to the lesson objectives?)
with hope, have the students start looking at these words as form of
scale, so they can infer it on their own readily into statements.

Lesson Evaluation:
(Reflect on the lesson. What worked? What did not work? What would you change? Why?)

I failed to bring the props and work sheets to the class

cause of issues this morning, so I was very nervous and
had to improvise in ways I didn't wish to. As such I feel I
failed to grab the attention of students and was
sabotaging myself, I do realised I am clearly inexperianced
and out of my depth with children of that age, and I do
hope I can gain confidence in the future
as for improvements, I would use resources such a one
Drive and dropbox to make sure I at least had digital
copies of work sheets and props ready incase I leave my
props behind again.
