    Date: October 27, 2015 **UPDATE**
    Johnson County District Attorney Steve Howe announces that Dustin Maynard has entered a plea
    of guilty to the charge of premeditated first degree murder for his role in the death of 21 year old
    Jordan MacDonald. Sentencing in this case will be held on December 11, 2015.
    The case was investigated by the Johnson County Sheriffs Office and the Johnson County Sheriffs
    Office Criminalistics Laboratory. The case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorneys Jason
    Covington and Mike McElhinney.

    Date: November 4, 2013


    Dustin Adam Maynard, 31, has been arrested and charged following an incident which occurred
    on October 30, 2013 at 8515 Ottawa Street in De Soto, Kansas. Dustin Adam Maynard has been
    charged in Johnson County District Court Case Number 13CR2535 with first degree murder and
    is being held on $1,000,000 bond. He will have his first appearance on Monday, November 4,
    2013.

    Maynard should be presumed innocent until proven guilty.
