To whom it may concern,
I am very excited to apply for an opening as a Dietetic intern. I am currently completing my senior year of
undergraduate study at the University of North Florida (UNF), where I major in nutrition and dietetics
with the goal of serving the community as a Registered Dietitian. I hope for an interview invitation and
subsequently an opportunity to intern as part a Distance Education Internship program. I am in strong
pursuit of attaining this position because it will provide me the opportunity to apply my passion for
nutrition and fulfill my desire to improve the publics everyday health and lifestyle.
While study and proficiency remain priorities, I have also worked along the way and am currently
employed by the Target Corporation as a Starbucks Barista. In addition to routine responsibilities
associated with a food service representative, the skills I have developed are to interface with each guest,
establish rapport and share a little encouragement.
With great satisfaction, I completed an AS Dietetic Technician degree and performed 120 hours of
supervised practice through Hillsborough County College (HCC). This experience imbued my
understanding of nutrition and established an ever widening perspective on the field and career path of a
Registered Dietitian. In particular, experiences gained working alongside a Registered Dietitian were
challenging, rewarding and addictive. For instance, while working under the supervision of a RD within a
clinical setting, I was introduced and also performed several nutrition assessments, documented several
patients nutrition diagnoses, completed patient satisfaction surveys, and filled out diet orders for patients
as well. Therefore, it would be an honor to apply my previous nutrition experiences and advance them
further within the dietetic internship. Please see my enclosed resume for further details of my experience
and education.
In complement with studies and work, I am an effective time manager and attentive learner. I exercise
strong verbal and written communication skills, especially in work, with the public and within group
settings. Also on many occasions, I have been acknowledged to be both meticulous and attentive to detail,
within an educational and workplace setting. Overall, I am truly thankful for your time and would
appreciate an opportunity to address any questions or further explanations you may need. Please call me
at 813-541-8356 (cell) to arrange an interview. Thank you for consideration. I look forward to the
opportunity.

Sincerely,
Morgan McNeal
