Some of Warner Bros marketing strategies tend to stay with the times. There strategies
and culturally based and modern. Most of their marketing are in movie trailers were people can
often see them if interested in a film or through advertisements. This is a productive method as
trailers are often visited my choice as they want to a preview of what the movie is. It is also
affective through advertisements on websites like YouTube. If a person wishes to watch a video
and sees an interesting trailer for the movie they might see it all the way or see at least their logo
before the skipping of the advertisement.
Diversification in Warner Bros. is widespread. Warner Bros. have produced over 18
million films in English Internationally. Although many of their films are either dubbed or
subbed in a different language, the corporation is taking the initiative to produce films of an
entire language for countries who enjoy their movies produced and to outreach towards them.
For example, Warner Bros. is trying to make films in the Chinese language as they are of high
demand. They say that title can start to be released starting in the early months of 2016. Some
other countries they outreach to are Germany, France, Italy, Japan and Brazil along with others.
In the corporation, there are many modern names owned by them. Some frequent and known
names include Time, Cinema, Sports Illustrated, TNT, People, TBS and HBO. These companies
have helped innovated and distribute information, media, and entertainment, to many different
types of people who like to enjoy different things.
From the beginning Warner Bros. had made it their priority to produce good and
entertaining movies to the public along with television shows. One of their branches in the
corporation is Telepictures which was started in 1990. This branch is TV shows like The Ellen
DeGeneres Show go through and get screened. This branch is responsible for winning 77
Emmys. Some of the awards include Outstanding Talk Show or Outstanding Talk Show Host.
Besides TV shows, one other form of entertainment Warner Bros. focus on is movies. Although
there first production was in 1918, there first real film was produced in 1923. The company in
total has over 79,000 hours of programming, 7,500 featured films, and 4,500 television programs
and within these shows having tens of thousands of individual episodes.
One of Warner Bros. production is the extremely popular series of Harry Potter. The first
movie produced, Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone had great success. In the first book/film
it is about a boy who discovers he is a wizard, he then meets the wonderful wizard world and
learns about the misfortunes he has faced and is going to face. This film was produced on
November 14, 2001 and having a run time of 2 hours and 39 minutes. This Action/Fiction movie
was produced first in the U.S. and U.K. by Warner Bros. Pictures. It had a box office of $974.8
million. It was such a huge success that the company was about to buy the rights to the rest of the
books to make them into moves. They made the rest of the 7 Harry Potter movies, the last one
split into two parts.
Another move that Warner Bros. has produced is the Lego Movie. This childrens film
based off a childs mind around the popular toy LEGOs has been another success and has won
many awards. Some awards being Critics Choice Movie Award for Best Animated Feature,
BAFTA Award for Best Animated Film, and New York Film Critics Circle Award for Best
Animated Film. Produced on February 7, 2014 its box office was $469.2 million. Due to its
success it is possible for another Lego Movie being the sequel of the one produced.
