I hope you and your family had a great Spring Break. We

are happy to be back and looking forward to a successful
end to the school year. April and May are traditionally our
busiest months of the school year, and this year is no
exception! Importantly, ISTEP+ testing begins Tuesday,
April 19th and ends on Friday, April 22nd. As always, we
remind students that our goal is for them to put forth their
very best effort and do their absolute best on this test. We
want to see our students show what they know and are
able to do, and to improve upon their performance from
last year. Please help us in these efforts by encouraging
your child to do their very best! We also ask that you help
us by avoiding appointments during ISTEP+ testing time if
at all possible. This minimizes the time students have to
miss out of class to make up missed tests.
Spring sports, the school dance/activity night, Washington
DC, Flat Rock, and many more spring activities are right
around the corner. Be sure to check out this edition of
Miller Matters!
Go Millers!

eLearning Day April 27

Our second round

of ISTEP+ will begin
Tuesday, April 19 and
will continue through
Friday, April 22. Testing will occur first
thing in the morning.

Our final eLearning day will occur on Wednesday,

April 27. Students will attend school through the
last lunch period, then be dismissed at 12:25 to go
home to continue their learning by participating in
learning activities electronically through their school device and
Canvas.

As always, we ask that you avoid

appointments during these days to
allow your student the best possible
chance for success on this important
test. Other important tips include
encouraging your child to do their best,
eating a good breakfast each morning,
and coming to school each day on time
and well rested.

Regular bus transportation routes will run at dismissal at 12:25 on

eLearning days. Parents may also pick up students, or allow their
child to walk home just as on any other normal school day. Bus
transportation will only be provided at the 12:25 dismissal. Bus
transportation will not be provided to students who stay at school
for a supervised study hall until the normal 2:35 dismissal time.

Technology update
As part of our continuing efforts to enhance
online safety and security for students, and
thanks to a recent upgrade to our systems,
we are now able to activate our school
internet filters on school owned devices, outside of the school
network.
This means your student's iPad will be now be protected with
internet filters to block inappropriate content even when they are
not at school. This change has been recently implemented for
students in grades K-8 and we will be implementing it for high
school students in the future as additional system upgrades allow.
As always, all students K-12 have internet filters in place when
iPads are used on school property.
If you'd like more information about how to keep your child safe
online, please explore our parenting resources

If you have any questions about technology use at Noblesville
Schools, please contact: Andrew Swickheimer
