REPORTING VERBS

1) REPORTING REQUESTS:
ASK, DEMAND, BEG, REQUEST + OBJECT + TO
John, don’t open the window, please.
I asked/begged/requested John not to open the window.

2) REPORTING SUGGESTIONS:
We use the verb suggest:
SUGGEST + THAT + SUBJECT + (SHOULD) + INFINITIVE
SUGGEST + -ING
Why don’t we go to the cinema?
She suggested that we should go to the cinema.
She suggested going to the cinema.
