Felties!

Rupee
by Russell Welch

Take this rupee, and use it to buy things on your quest to save the Princess! Alternatively, use it to stick your pins in. Or fill it with catnip and give it to your cat. Russell Welch, 2011

Felties!

Pattern
Pin the pattern pieces to your felt and cut out the required number of each shape (or draw around them if you prefer). Lay a side piece on top of the top section as shown, and sew along the seam using blanket stitch:

Fold this section out, and do the same with the adjacent end piece.

Then continue adding pieces and folding them out of the way until you have sewn all the way around the end of the top.

Now fold the pieces into position and sew along the lines shown to make the half of the rupee youve just created 3D. Remember to pinch the pieces against one another while you are sewing and then fold them back into position afterwards (as you have done all along).

Repeat with the other half, before sewing the halves together, remembering the stuff with fiberfill when there is only a small hole.
