The Bat
He hangs from beam in winter upside down But in the spring he right side up lets go And flutters and there zigzagly flown Till chimney of the house quick-slow He pendulum-spirals out in light low Of sunset swinging out above the lawns Gathering sinking insects sag downflow Returning as the light on green world dawns And down the chimney disappears nimble To the cellar where they catch mice with a thimble. What my kids said about selfregulated learningwhy Im learning I dont always understand
something like with Macbeth, but I try to make it be realistic and somehow relate to something I enjoy like the holocaust/ Nazi Germany. With socials, Im usually always writing codes and making cue-cards. With WW I and WW Ii I would even research more about it online to increase my level of engagement. I use the pre-learning tools. This helps me by opening drawers and making connections to what I already know. I think self-regulated learning could change my life if I wasnt so lazy.

Using powertools really helps me learn and has changed my attitude towards school because it helps me stay engaged and interested in the material.
This is the first year that I have enjoyed learning, and I discovered that it wasnt because the material was better but it was because I learned to engage my brain. The minute I engaged my brain the lessons became interesting and I want to learn. Through every unit in SS this year I have wanted to suck all the knowledge I can get, out of the class. The power tools have been a huge help for me and my attitude towards school has
