Designed for 9E gas turbines, GE Energy's equiaxed, GTD-111 stage 1 bucket offers advanced cooling features that provide improved life expectancy and allow for operation at higher firing temperatures. This new technologically advanced design incorporates the following GE proprietary features: Airfoil profile with enhanced cooling arrangement Turbulated cooling passages GTD-111 material

Benefits
Extended life intervals Design life expectancy of three hot gas path inspections

Features
Enhanced Cooling
Cooling enhancements for this bucket include a proprietary design on the airfoil profile with an enhanced cooling arrangement. The bucket-cooling scheme includes a series of 11 cooling holes located along the length of the bucket. These holes are turbulated cooling passages that increase the efficiency of heat transfer from the bucket metal to the cooling air, and use a design exclusive to GE.

(72,000 hours for gas only, dry, base loaded operation) Capable of operation at higher firing temperatures, up to 2055F

Applicability
This offering is intended for use with frame 9E gas turbines.

GE Proprietary Equiaxed GTD-111

This precipitation hardened, nickel-based super alloy provides the industry standard in corrosion resistance. It offers increased rupture strength and improved low cycle fatigue over the IN-738 material used on previous bucket designs.

PLASMAGUARD* GT33IN+ Coating

This vacuum plasma spray overlay coating further increases the corrosion and oxidation resistance of the bucket.
