wearing thick turbans which were of black, white, red andGREEN COLOUR [Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah (6/48)] Quran states:Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?, Reclining on "GREEN CUSHIONS" and rich Carpets of beauty. (Surah ar-Rahman 55:75-76) The Green color is loved color of ALLAH azza Wajjal and color of garment which Ahlul Jannah shall wear and the lovely cushions in Jannah shall be green, no wonder the Wahabis and their ilk hate this color, but hey lets move towards ALLAHS Apostle (Peace be upon him) and what he said about this color and what color sahaba chose to cover Prophet (saw)'s body after he passed away, plus why the Dome of Prophets mosque is Green , on the contrary the Christians despised green and painted the eyes of shaytan as green (no wonder Wahabis and their supporters are inspired so much from Christians in hating green whereas Islams beloved color is green) Volume 7, Book 72, Number 705: (Sahih Bukhari) Narrated 'Aisha: (the wife of the Prophet) When Allah's Apostle died, he was covered with a Hibra Burd (green square decorated garment). Now lets see why Green color was chosen Volume 7, Book 72, Number 713: (Sahih Bukhari) Narrated Um Khalid bint Khalid: The Prophet was given some clothes including a black Khamisa. The Prophet said, "To whom shall we give this to wear?" The people kept silent whereupon the Prophet said, "Fetch Um Khalid for me." I (Um Khalid) was brought carried (as I was small girl at that time). The Prophet took the Khamisa in his hands and made me wear it and said, May you live so long that your dress will wear out and you will mend it many times." On the Khamisa there were some green or
pale designs (The Prophet saw these designs) and said, "O Um Khalid! This is Sanah." (Sanah is an Ethiopian word meaning beautiful).
Sayyidina Abu Saeed Khudri (RA) reported that Allahs Messenger (SAW) said, If a believer feeds (another) believer when he is hungry then Allah will feed him on the Day of Resurrection from the fruit of Paradise. And, if a believer gives water to a believer when he is thirsty then Allah will give him to drink on the Day of Resurrection from rahiq ul-makhatum (sealded wine) . And, if a believer clothes another believer when he is without (sufficient) clothes then Allah will clothe him with green (garments) of Paradise. [Ahmed 11101 and Sunan tirmidhi (2457) ]
Sayyidina Abu Rimthah (RA) reported that he observed Allahs Messenger (SAW)in a pair of green garments [Dawud Book 9 Hadith 1678 ] just to add even Sheikh Abul Haq Muhadith Dehalvi writes that Prophet () also used Green Ammama Sharif"[in his book in his book Zia'ulQaloub fi Libass-e-Mahboub] So wearing Green clothes ,Caps or turbans is a Sunnah and proved from Sahih Hadiths , Alhamduliallah, Any one rejecting it is a biddati not wearing it
) is proved
Even Arab and European Sunni muslims having nothing to do with Subcontinent culture Wear Green Imama Sharif as a Sunnah. Most prominent is Sheikh Nazim Haqqani Naqshbandi inspite of the fact Naqshbandis are traditionally known to wear White turbans

Then He would say: `O Allah! For You is the Praise, You have clothed me, I ask You for its good and the good for which it was made, and I seek refuge in You from its evil and the evil for which it was made 4. Imam Tirmidhi narrates on the authority of Abdullah Ibn Umar who said:
When the Prophet wore a turban, He would let the tail hang between His shoulder blades. The vast majority of Ulama agree that from among the Prophets favoured clothing is the turban.

Sahih Al- Muslim Book 7, Hadith # 3148 Narrated Amr ibn Hurayth (Radhiallaahu n) Rasulullah (Sallallaahu layhi Wasallam) addressed the people (on the day of the Victory of Mecca) with a black turban on his head. Sanan Abu Dawood Book 1, Hadith # 0147 Narrated Anas ibn Malik: I saw Rasulullah (Sallallaahu layhi Wasallam) perform ablution. He had a Qutri turban. He inserted his hand beneath the turban and wiped over the forelock, and did not untie the turban. Sanan Abu Dawood Book 32, Hadith # 4027
Narrated Sa'd: I saw a man riding on a white mule and he had a black turban of silk and wool (not pure silk). He said: The Rasulullah (Sallallaahu layhi Wasallam) put it (the turban) on me. This is the version of Uthman, and there is the word akhbara in his tradition. Sanan Abu Dawood Book 32, Hadith # 4068 Narrated AbdurRahman ibn Awf: Rasulullah (Sallallaahu layhi Wasallam) put a turban on me and let the ends hang in front of him and behind me. Tirmidhi from the book Shamaa'il Tirmidhi pg #108 Hadith # 109 Amr bin Hurayth (Radhiallaahu n) relates that Rasulullah (Sallallaahu layhi Wasallam) gave the khutbah and he was wearing a black turban on his head. Abu Dawood and Tirmidhi Roknah (Radhiallaahu n) reports that Rasulullah (Sallallaahu layhi Wasallam) said "The distinction between us and the polytheists is the turbans over our caps. "Note : Also quoted by Al-Tabrizi in his
Mishkat Al-Masabih and this clears up the false notion that this was just the way of the arabs and not a particular practice of Rasulullah (SAW)
Tabrani, Haakim and Nahabi have mentioned this to be SAHIH Hadith Ataa bin Rabaah (Radhiallaahu n) that Rasulullah (Sallallaahu layhi Wasallam) tied a white turban (Imaama) on the head or
AbdulRahman ibn Auf (Radhiallaahu n). MISHKAT page #377 and also reported by Baihaqi in Shuabul Imaan. Ubadah (Radhiallaahu n) reports that Rasulullah (Sallallaahu layhi Wasallam)"Make a practice of tying Turbans since it is a hallmark of the angels." Note: Here Rasulullah(SAW) is even advising
others to wear the Imaama!
Tabrani Musa Ashari (Radhiallaahu n) narrates that Jibraeel would come to Rasulullah(Sallallaahu layhi Wasallam) wearing a turban. Haakim cited in the book Mustadrak Haakim vol34 pg#540 Aisha (Radhiallaahu nha) reports a on the occasion of the battle of the trench a man came to Rasulullah (Sallallaahu layhi Wasallam)wearing a Turban and when she asked Rasulullah (Sallallaahu layhi Wasallam) about this man he informed her this was Jibraeel.
(Haakim has declared this hadith to be SAHIH)
Ibn Abbas (Radhiallaahu n) reports that Rasulullah(SAW) said "Adopt the Turban as it will increase your Hilm ( good character, intelligence, patience)."
Headwear are symbols of nations and many Muslims imitate the unbelievers by wearing their head wear. In fact, covering their heads with a Turban, or even a scarf, is better for them and further from resembling the unbelievers. Maulana Fazlul Karim
(This is from his commentary of Mishkat vol#1 pg#630)
"The holy Prophet (Sallallaahu layhi Wasallam) used to wear a Turban and he said that the angels also wear it in the heavens and the turban protects the head and adorns the face."
"The turban is desired (mustahabb) on Fridays for both the imam and the congregation, and Nawawi said that it is desired for the imam to beautify his appearance (i.e. more than everyone else), wear the turban, and wear a rida' (jubba, a loose outer garment or robe). The application of the Sunnah consists in winding the turban on the head or on top of a qalansuwa (kufi). It is preferable to wear it large, but it is necessary to define its length and width by what fits the wearer's custom according to his time and place. To add to this is disliked by the Law."
"Imaam Nawawi all his life possessed only a thawb (long shirt) and a turban"
The Holy Quran, Sura #3;Ayah #31 "Say (O Muhammad SAW to mankind): "If you (really) love Allh then follow me (i.e. accept Islmic Monotheism, follow the Qur'n and the Sunnah), Allh will love you and forgive you of your sins. And Allh is Oft Forgiving, Most Merciful." The Holy Quran, Sura #33;Ayah #21 "Indeed in the Messenger of Allh (Muhammad SAW) you have a good example to follow for him who hopes in (the Meeting with) Allh and the Last Day and remembers Allh much." The Holy Quran, Sura #42;Ayah #52 "And thus We have sent to you (O Muhammad SAW) Ruhan (an Inspiration, and a Mercy) of Our Command. You knew not what is the Book, nor what is Faith? But We have made it (this Qur'n) a light wherewith We guide whosoever of Our slaves We will. And verily, you (O Muhammad SAW) are indeed guiding (mankind) to the Straight Path (i.e. Allh's religion of Islmic Monotheism)." The Holy Quran, Sura #59;Ayah #7

Abu Dawud and Imaam Ahmad Bin Hanbal On the authority of Ibn `Umar (Radhiallaahu n) who said that Rasulullah(Sallallaahu layhi Wasallam) said "Whoso resembles a people in appearance, he is one of them." (Also narrated by Ibn Abi
Shayba in his Musannaf (5:313), Ibn Hajar in Fath al-Bari 10:274 [Dar al-Fikr ed.], and Ibn Kathir in his Tafsir (8:53). `Iraqi said its chain is sound (sahih). alBazzar also relates it through Hudhayfa and Abu Hurayra, Abu Nu`aym through Anas, and al-Quda`i relates it through Tawus, a chain which Ibn Hibban declared sahih. Ibn Taymiyya in his Iqtida' al-siratal- mustaqim (p. 82) calls Abu Dawud's and Ahmad's chain "a good chain." )

When the cloud returned and replaced the child, he was clothedin Green silk.

Fatwa from Ask-Imam, In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful Assalaamu `alaykum waRahmatullahi Wabarakatoh We are unaware of any narration indicating that the Prophet of Allh (Sallallhu Alayhi Wasallam) ever wore a green turban. On the contrary, Shaykh Al-Kattn in his AlDima writes: Many questions have been raised regarding the green turban; did the Prophet of Allh (Sallallhu Alayhi Wasallam) ever wore a green turban. The answer is, Shihb mentions in his commentary on Al-Shif which indicates the Prophet of Allh (Sallallhu Alayhi Wasallam) never wore a green turban. Therefore, we cannot confirm the Prophet of Allh(Sallallhu Alayhi Wasallam) ever wore a green turban. : : (( )) )) (( : (( )) . : 99 ) . . ( --Quote wahabi/Deobandi says: "The Sahaba kept minute details of Holy Prophets (Allah bless him and give him peace) life.
They even narrated how many white hair Holy Prophet had and so on. If Holy Prophet did wear a green turban then it surely would have reached us through the Sahaba. Just like we have reports of Him wearing other colors, we surely would have had reports of green turban.
Absence of proof clearly means that it is not Sunnah of the Prophet to wear green a turban.
Beside that Mufti Zar Wali Khan has mentioned that in our time green turban should not be worn. Firstly, because there is tashbih with Ahl al-Bid'ah as green imama is their salient feature. Secondly, he mentions that there is a hadith in Mishkat that followers of Dajjal will have green shawls on their heads. [End of Quote] -------------------------

In other narration it is reported: "I saw Nabi Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam wearing a black turban."

"O my Companions! Angels are wearing turbans, mua`mameen, and leaving taraf, the edge of turbans, musawwameen."
Hazrat Ayesha (radiAllahu anha) narrates that the Beloved(SallAllahu Taala Alayhi Waalihi Wasallam) tied on the turbanof Hazrat Abdur Rahmaan Ibn Auf (radiAllahu anhu) and allowed for a tail the length of four fingers. He said: When I ascended to the sky (reference to the Meraj), I saw that most of the angels had on turbans.
Hazrat Ubadah (radiAllahu anhu) reports that the Prophet(SallAllahu Taala Alayhi Waalihi Wasallam) said: Make a practice of tying turbanssince it is a hallmark of the Angels. Futhermore, tie them in such a manner that the tail hangs at the back.
It is further established from countless narrations that theturban is the garb of angels and that the angels wore it at the battles of Badr, Hunayn, and Uhud:
Concerning the verse: "Your Lord will help you with five thousand angels bearing marks (musawwimin)" (3:125), Ibn `Abbas said:"It is said that musawwimin means bearing marks or wearing turbans (muta`ammimin)." This is also reported by Makhul as quoted by Ibn Kathir in his Commentary on the verse.
Ibn Kathir in his Tafsir relates from Ibn Abi Hatim that `Ali said:"The mark of angels on the day of Badr was white wool, and their mark was also on the forehead of their horses."
Ibn `Asakir in his Tahdhib (6:232) and Suyuti in al- Haba'ik fi akhbar al-mala'ik relate on the authority of `A'isha that theProphet said: "Most of the angels I have seen were wearing turbans." Malik said: Jibril was seen in the image of (the Companion)Dihya (ibn Khalifa) al-Kalbi, and he was wearing a turban with its extremity hanging between his shoulder-blades. [Ibn Abi Zayd, al-Jami` fi al-sunan (1982 ed.) p. 229.] Imam Malik said: The turban was worn from the beginning of Islam and it did not cease being worn until our time. I did not see anyone among the People of Excellence except they wore the turban, such as Yahya ibn Sa`id, Rabi`a, and Ibn Hurmuz. I would see in Rabi`a's circle more than thirty men wearing turbans and I was one of them, and Rabi`a did not put it down until the Pleiades rose (i.e. until he slept) and he used to say: "I swear that I find it increases intelligence." It is perhaps due to these very narrations that the Fuqah [Jurists] have accepted the fact that the reward of the Salaat performed while wearing a turban is greater than one performed without it.
(Fatawa Rashidia Pg.326; Fatwa Rahimia Vol. 4 Pg.359). Moulana Rashid Ahmed Gangohi has written the following in reply to a question; "To make Imaamat (lead the congregation) without a turban is completely permissible without any degree of reprehensibility. However there is no denying of the fact that with a turban, the reward is increased." (Fatwa Rashidia Pg.326)
Allamah Anwar Shah Kashmiri writes; "From the Fiqhi (juristic) point of view we find that it is mustahab (preferable) that Salaat be performed while wearing three items of clothing, one of them being the turban." (Faizul Bari Vol.2 Pg.8)
Moulana Mohammed Zakariya Khandalwi has written in Khasil-e-Nabawi (commentary of Shamil Tirmizi): The tying of the turban is a Sunnat-e-Mustamirrah (perpetually adhered to practice of Nabi Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam). Nabi Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam has enjoined the tying of
the turbanupon us. It has been reported: "Tie the turban. It will increase you in forbearance." (Fathul Baari) It is also reported that somebody enquired of Hadhrat Ibn Umar Radhiallahu anhu whether the tying of the turban was sunnat or not. He replied in the affirmative. Shaikh-ul-hadith Zakarriya Khandalwi
"The tying of the Turban is a "Sunnate Mustamirrah" (Prepetually adhered to the practice of Rasulullah (Sallallaahu layhi Wasallam) and Rasulullah (Sallallaahu layhi Wasallam) has enjoined the tying of the turban upon us. It has been reported in the hadith that Rasulullah (Sallallaahu layhi Wasallam) said "Tie the turban. it will increase you in forbearance." Shaikh Muhammad Ibn Jameel Zino (Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University) in his book : Al-Shamail Al-Muhammadiyyah on page #106):

The Prophet said, "To whom shall we give this to wear?" The people kept silent whereupon the Prophet said, "Fetch Um Khalid for me." I (Um Khalid) was brought carried (as I was small girl at that time). The Prophet took the Khamisa in his hands and made me wear it and said, May you live so long that your dress will wear out and you will mend it many times." On the Khamisa there were some green or pale designs (The Prophet saw these designs) and said, "O Um Khalid! This is Sanah." (Sanah is an Ethiopian word meaningbeautiful). Volume 7, Book 72, Number 713: (Sahih Bukhari) Sayyidina Abu Saeed Khudri (RA) reported that Allahs Messenger (SAW) said, If a believer feeds (another) believer when he is hungry then Allah will feed him on the Day of Resurrection from the fruit of Paradise.
--------------------It is reported in the Sharh of al-Habib 'Abdul Qadir al-'Aydaroos that after Imam alGhazali passed away(505AH), Shaykh Shihab ud-Deen Ahmad az-Zabidi, saw one day while he was sitting, that the gates of heaven opened and some malaika (angels) descended. A certain grave opened and a person came out whom they clothed in a green robe, and they ascended with him on a conveyance, passed the seven heavens and beyond sixty veils till they were lost out of sight. When he asked who he was, he was answered: "This is the Imam al-Ghazali". ---
Surah Kahf
And when they reached the place where the two seas meet, they forgot about their fish, and it took its way into the sea, making a tunnel. (The dead fish came alive and went into the water.)
[Kahf 18:61]

The Dome over the Blessed Grave of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) dates back to the seventh century AH. It was built during the reign of Sultan Qalawoon, and at first it was the colour of wood, then it became white, then blue, then green, and it has remained green until the present. Sultaan Qalawoon al-Saalihi was the first one to build a dome over the chamber. He did that in 678 AH. In 1253 AH, an order was issued by the Ottoman Sultan Abd al-Hameed to paint the dome green. He was the first one to colour it green, and the colour has been renewed whenever necessary until the present day. -------------------------
The Prophet said, Islam began as something strange, and it will revert to being strange as it was in the beginning, so good tidings for the strangers. Someone asked, Who are the strangers? He said, The ones who break away from their people (literally, tribes) for the sake of Islam. (This Hadith was narrated by Ibn Majah on the authority of Anas and Abu Hurairah.)

Roknah (Radhiallaahu n) reports that Rasulullah (Sallallaahu layhi Wasallam) said "The distinction between us and the polytheists is theturbans over our caps. " Also quoted by Al-Tabrizi in his Mishkat Al-Masabih and this clears up the false notion that this was just the way of the arabs and not a particular practice of Rasulullah (S) and this shows us that we should wear caps under our Imaamas to differentiatefrom the sieks :
and other Kufar who wear turbans but without caps under them."
Abu Dawud
mentioned in his Sunan that the Prophet is related to have said, "The difference between us and the pagans is that we wear the 'imama on top of the qalansuwa."
--------------
Shaikh Muhammad Ibn Jameel Zino (^Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University) in his book:
Headwear are symbols of nations and many Muslims imitate the unbelievers by wearing their head wear. In fact, covering their heads with a Turban, or even a scarf, is better for them andfurther from resembling the unbelievers. (Al-Shamail Al-Muhammadiyyah on page #106) ----
Not sure...?
For a moment I thought that three women were going inside the men's section but then I realised Ahh!
This is the Ibn Saud bidah of wearing "Gatra"Remember there is no proof from Sunnah in wearing this kind of "Dupata" on head of men, this is a bidah found in majority of Fitnah creating Wahabis who fool innocent people in believing that they are true followers ofSunnah. In reality the True Sunnah is to wear Amama Shareefwhich Wahabi scholars are not foundwearing not evenAlbani or Bin Baaz wore Amama Shareef. So Wahabis are trying their best to change Sunnah with their Bidah but till the moment Ahlus Sunnah is alive we will not let them do that.

The Wahhabis thought those who showed reverence to objects were guilty of polytheism, so relics were sent to Istanbul for protection and care. During World War I, when the surrender of Madina was being considered, the city's guardian, Fahreddin Pasha, sent a number of valuable gifts which had been received over the centuries, along with some Sacred Relics, toIstanbul . ------------
