NED University of Engineering &Technology, Karachi ELIGIBILITY For Admission in Masters Degree Programmes For the Academic Session
2010-11 a) Master of Engineering (M. Engg.) For admission in M. Engg. Programmes in Civil / Mechanical / Electrical / Comput er Systems / Electronic / Industrial & Manufacturing / Textile / Materials / Telecommunications Engineering, the applicants who have passed Bachelor of Engineering degree examination in the relevant engineering discipline from NED University or an equivalent recognized Degree with First Division or CGPA 2.4 / 4.0. For admission in Environmental Engineering Programme, the applicants who have passed Bachelor of Engineering degree examination in Civil / Mechanical / Chemic al Engineering or allied disciplines from NED University or equivalent recognized D egree with First Division or CGPA 2.4 / 4.0. For admission in Chemical Engineering Programme, the applicants who have passed Bachelor of Engineering degree examination in Chemical / Mechanical / Textile an d Industrial & Manufacturing Engineering with First Division or CGPA 2.4 / 4.0. For admission in Automotive Engineering Programme, the applicants who have passed Bachelor of Engineering degree examination in Automotive / Mechanical and Industrial & Manufacturing Engineering with First Division or CGPA 2.4 / 4.0. b) Master of Engineering Management (MEM) For admission in Construction Management Programme, the applicants who have passed Bachelor of Civil Engineering or Bachelor of Architecture degree examination with First Division or CGPA 2.4 / 4.0. from NED University or an equivalent Degree recognized by Pakistan Council of Architects & Town Planners (PCATP) with Intermediate (Pre-Engineering) are also eligible. For admission in Water Resources Management Programme, the applicants who have passed Bachelor of Civil Engineering / Urban Engineering degree examination with First Division or CGPA 2.4 / 4.0. For admission in Industrial Management and Quality Management Programmes, the applicants who have passed Bachelor of Engineering degree examination in relevant discipline of Engineering from NED University or equivalent recognized Degree with First Division or CGPA 2.4 / 4.0. For admission in Energy Management Programmes, the applicant must fulfill any of the following criteria:i) Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering from NED University or an equivalent recognized degree with First Division or CGPA 2.4 / 4.0. ii) Minimum three years work experience in Power and Energy sector alongwith a Bachelor of Engineering Degree in relevant discipline of Engineering from NED University or an equivalent recognized Degree with First Division or CGPA 2.4 / 4.0. P-2 Page -2c) Master of Computer Science & Information Technology (MCIT) For admission in Computer Science & Information Technology Programme, the applicants who have passed Bachelor of Engineering degree examination in Bachelo r of Computer Science & Information Technology (BCIT) or Computer Systems / Electronic / Telecommunications / Civil / Urban / Mechanical / Electrical / Text ile / Industrial & Manufacturing Engineering or Bachelor of Architecture or Master of Science in Applied Mathematics / Applied Physics or an equivalent Degree recognized by the NED University with First Division or CGPA 2.4 / 4.0. d) Master of Urban & Regional Planning (MURP) For admission in Urban & Regional Planning Programme, the applicants who have
passed Bachelor Degree Examination in Bachelor of Architecture / Bachelor of Cit y and Regional Planning / Civil Engineering or four years Bachelor of Geography along with other conditions of eligibility or an equivalent qualification recogn ized by the Pakistan Council of Architects and Town Planners (PCATP) with First Division or CGPA 2.4 / 4.0. e) Master of Architecture (M. Arch) For admission in Architecture, the applicants must have passed Bachelor Degree Examination in Bachelor of Architecture or an equivalent qualification recognize d by the Pakistan Council of Architects and Town Planners (PCATP) with First Division or CGPA 2.4 / 4.0.
