Mid-Term Transcript Procedures


Seniors: Mid-year transcript requests will be processed after the GPA and Class Rank have been updated on February 19th. All mid-year requests should be completed on the "mid-year transcript/ school report" form, not in Naviance. These forms will be available for pick up in Student Services the week of February 11th. There will be no charge for mid-year transcripts sent to the universities to which you have previously applied this school year. Please keep in mind that mid-year transcripts should only be sent to universities that have requested this information. Please see your counselor with any questions J. Attention seniors who plan to study business or marketing at CPCC. The Marvin Rorie Scholarship is a $2000 scholarship to CPCC for any CMS marketing student planning to study marketing or business at CPCC. Interested students need to turn in one original copy of the application and an original transcript and 4 copies of both before spring break to Mrs. Austin in B303. Interviews will take place at the Levine campus of CPCC on Thursday, April 25 at 3:00. Ardrey Kell JROTC Knights' Court School Beautification Project The Ardrey Kell MCJROTC is still taking orders for brick purchases for our Knights Court walkway, located in the front of our school. Bricks cost $50 and include three lines of engraving. A perfect way to leave a legacy for your student, past or present, or simply as a family brick! Makes a great senior gift! Order forms are available on the JROTC school wiki page, or for further information, please contact Lynn Burnett at lynn.burnett@allentate.com. HABITAT FOR HUMANITY Habitat for Humanity has paired with CMS to raise money and build 5 Habitat homes in Charlotte this year. Senior Build-Up is a CMS-wide service project for seniors to give back to their community. Our school's goal is $15,000. If you would like to donate or receive more information, please go to the Ardrey Kell website and click Donate to Senior Build Up. You can also contact Anna Cameron or Jennifer Schroeder via email, found on the Faculty/Staff page. Though it is a senior-sponsored project, students of all grades are encouraged to donate and participate. Any donation amount is greatly appreciated. Thank you! STUDENT SERVICES

Charlotte National College Fair

Sunday, March 17, 2013 12:00 pm 4:00 pm The Park Expo and Conference Center Free and open to the public The National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC) invites all sophomores, juniors and seniors to the National College Fair coming to Charlotte. Visit www.nationalcollegefairs.org for the most updated list of colleges. Admission representatives from hundreds of colleges and universities are available to speak with students one-on-one concerning the college admission process and college life in general. All college fairs include a counseling and resource center comprised of skilled professionals and partners who can assist parents and students. Workshops are held to address testing, the college application process, and other topics of significance in the college search process. Go to www.nacacnet.org/ncfstudent to: Register for the fair. The ABC's of College Planning: A free workshop to introduce high school students and their parents to key aspects of the college search process is being held February 2, 2013 at Queens University from 9 am- 1 pm in the Sykes Learning Center. To register or for additional information, please visit www.sacac.org and look for the link to "Mini Camp College". Registration will also be held from 8:30-9:00 am the day of the workshop. "College Prep 101" Conference: Students in grades 9-12 have an opportunity to attend a conference on Saturday, February 23, at Johnson C. Smith University from 8:30 am- noon. This conference will be the first in a series; College Prep, Healthy Habits, Technology and Communication and Servant Leadership which will culminate in a four week Summer Leadership Summit. Participation will be limited to the first 75 students who register either on-line or the morning of the conference. ******************************************************************************* Attention 11th Grade Parents - ACT Exception Form th All 11 grade students at Ardrey Kell will take the ACT on March 5th. However, if a student has taken the SAT or ACT prior to January 1, 2013 and has met specific score requirements, they may opt out of this testing requirement. Please visit the Ardrey Kell website under School Announcements for the document explaining the exception specifics along with the necessary documentation that must be filled out and turned in with the required paperwork to Jennifer Schroeder in Student Services prior to January 15, 2013.
